Not a surprise that result. Tottenham are shit thus virtually nobody played through the summer thus they were fresh.

Everyone was off it and not sharp. We are worryingly a long way off our competitors judging by this weekend. Think we will take a month to get motoring.. if one of them has a sprinters start I could see that ruling ourselves out of the title if we are not careful. We simply won’t get away with the points and performances we put up first half of the season last season, especially with fans back in stadiums, as home advantage is back to being a thing again.

The majority is match fitness and sharpness.. which will come.. we just can’t have more slip ups during our next few games.. we are good enough but must stay in touch.

Other observations.. Sell Mendy he is absolute crap. Unless it was pure rustiness and lack of fitness but on that performance Fernandinho is looking like he is only fit to be used to see games out with 10 mins to go.
 
We’ll be fine, looked miles better when zin and kdb came on, mendy dog shit and runny at that, Grealish in Sterling role, Phil in mahrez role, Kane up top, no worries
 
Is it even controversial to say Foden is probably our best player anymore? I mean beside KDB, he's the second name on the team sheet every day of the week. He's that fucking important..
 
Well that was an awful title defence…. First weekend and the Rags have got the title wrapped up…. Never mind there’s always the hope we can get something from the Europa League. The desperation and hatred in the media is off the scale… hopefully Pep can use that to bind this set of players. Come on City.

Didn‘t actually think Aki was that bad. Mendy was shit and defensively Cancelo was the wrong man at right back today. Like you say it was to be expected.
The full backs we’re giving the ball away and when they weren’t we acted like a bunch of pussies in midfield.
 
The sad thing is, Harry Kane isn't fixing this shit. Sure, he'll score us some goals, and my god do we fucking need a striker but it's the slow play, let the defending team setup and then hope we fucking pass through 10 men. We're good enough to do it...but we've got to have a plan B.
