Out of interest, the last deal you did for 100m+, how long did it take from start to completion?.
Finally a question I can answer - 8 weeks, although to be fair they usually take a little longer.

Not so fast. Yes chances were missed however we also lost because Mendy can’t defend otherwise we could have got a point. He’s right though. We lost that game because we missed 3 golden chances. Not because of Mendy, Ake, Dias or Ederson
What I struggle to deal with most is the purpose of being a fan. Moments after a loss, the entire forum is filled with comments like "Pep's arrogance is back, he can't put aside his ego", "I just don't understand why we didn't play the best XI, even though half the squad has trained together for the first time 2 days before the match", "this 20 yr old bought for 20 mil, playing out of position is a fraud", etc.Totally agree, especially this bit
Some of the posters seem to have lost any perspective of why we watch football and live sport. If we couldn’t have bad day, periods, losses it isn’t sport. Fortunately we now have many more good than bad, its’s a great time to be a City fan maybe best ever, it probably won’t get better so if this isn’t enough and you can’t enjoy it, then what ?
Charlie Kane is Harrys agent and only do what Harry tells him to do. Not having a release clause in the contract is not the agents fault, its a decision made by Harry. Which at the time was probably compensated with giving Harry a higher salary and/or loyalty/sign-on bonus than if he would have insisted on having a releasu clause in paper. The issue on this deal is not City, it's down to the Kane's and particularly Charlie Kane.
They did not get a release clause in writing put into that 6 year contract, greedy, naïve, stupid? Who knows.
If Kane had a release clause this deal may well have been concluded months ago, as it is, looks like it's going down to the wire and Spurs are dictating the terms.
For all we know, a fee has been agreed, I would think it would be leaked but sometimes you just don't know. Looks like everyone knows what the price is and spuds been linked with 50m+ defenders is not Levy deciding to open the bank imo. The issue for spuds is that no one wants to sign for them and for a man obessed with his image that simply won't do for Levy. Everyone at City seems pretty relaxed about the situation so I have no reason not to be.1 - About 5 months, but thats including ~2 months of raised capital through a new share issue and ~1 month preparation for the extraordinary general meeting, none of which are necessary in a deal like this. Just agreeing on a price (approximately) should not take more than a few weeks from when negotiations starts. But again, this how it can work if you buy or sell a business, buying a football player is obviously a bit different.
2 - I dont know since I was obviously not involved. My guess is that they tried (and failed) to get him for a fee lower than the release clause.
3 - I would have preferred if he would have got more than one training session with the team before the first game. You seem to think its more than enough. I guess we disagree.
4 - What you are writing makes zero sense and it seems you are trying your best to misapprehend what I meant. Either that or you are just stupid.
5 - Basically the same for all other top teams. They could still have returned a week sooner, like Grealish did. But that doesnt have anything to do with the recruitment team, and thats just my personal opinion.
Wow, mine took 8 monthsFinally a question I can answer - 8 weeks, although to be fair they usually take a little longer.

Don't know if counts but I bought Willy Sagnol on Football Manager 06 for over 100m one time. Only took me like 5 minutes as well from start to finish. I think between us we could all be the ultimate transfer team.Motivated purchaser shall we say, backed into a corner by a couple of regulators on that one.

Foden & MahrezNot just this game, I’ve said before we didn’t lose the c/l because we conceded 1, we lost because we didn’t score. I think I may have wiped that game from my mind , I can’t remember whether we had golden chances in the final. I do remember we had enough possesion that we should have had chances .
Sorry… we lost because we can’t finish. Same as CL. Mendy wasn’t wholly responsible for their goal, just as much down to EddyNot so fast. Yes chances were missed however we also lost because Mendy can’t defend otherwise we could have got a point.
Calvert Lewin fits our profile, but would be just as expensive as GrealishI’m sure it’s a done deal, but playing Devil’s advocate……If it all goes belly up with Kane, why don’t we look at a bid for Calvert-Lewin or Jimenez….both have a decent strike rate in the Premiership.
Might allow Juve to get JesusMbappe to Madrid and fake Ronaldo to psg . The news picking up now
IF true psg don't give a fk, do they
Oh , yes the Foden one I remember now, should have scored. The Mahrez vaguely was it near the end ? remember a shot can’t remember if it was an easy chance , also have a vague memory of a Gundogan shot going close ?Foden & Mahrez
Lol... won't be long before the Ronaldo to City rumours startMbappe to Madrid and fake Ronaldo to psg . The news picking up now

Foden was slow to get his shot off (8 Yds out) and it was blocked by Rüdiger. Mahrez last minute volley, blasted high & wide, should have scored.Oh , yes the Foden one I remember now, should have scored. Messie and Ronaldo will never play for the same team, obviously
Hardly the same , their egos would not allow itWell Messi and Ramos are in the same team now and they have had many altercations in the past
A prominent Qatar based account has now tweeted about this news. So won't be surprised if the deal happens
I am just amazed at the constrast. PSG not giving a single fk while our ownership caring about the image. They should realize they may try their best but the image of dirty oil money will remain!
So embrace it
