I can't for the life of me get why they lie in such an obvious manner or are happy to come across as stupid and the one outside the loop as an excuse and think that makes them look like a competent minister?

It doesn't matter, they are in power and if there was an election tomorrow they'd win.

You hold them to a standard which in political terms is irrelevant.

Unless that changes, and it seems unlikely, it'll be the same tomorrow and the same next week.

A head of steam might be building up but it has nowhere to go.

Eventually a significant proportion of the electorate will be so unhappy with this Tory government, that there will be a clamour for a new government, a new Tory government.

And the Tories will provide it.

Now that the Country has been humiliated (again) by the Tories I would be interested in the thoughts of forum Conservative voters, particularly old school one nation Tories.

even if you don't like JO'B this is worth watching to see the absolute stupidity of Raab. His ability to be such a moral vacuum and so totally wrong on everything devalues the education establishments that he attended.

A Nasty Party Defence minister lieing? Shirley not. Praised the deal at the time but now says he said it was rotten but no record of him saying that. He also said that Labour supported the deal but there is no evidence that they did.

If they didn't lie they could enjoy the benefits of opening a new cancer care unit.

So why lie? To make supporters ‘feel’ better, perhaps? Do you feel better or just angry because people called out the lie? Would you prefer people not to call out the lies?
