Neither Ake or Mendy should be played over the alternatives even if they are not 100% fit. Indeed if it was down to me Mendy would have played his last game for the club some time ago.

I'd be very surprised if either and definitely not both of them are in the starting 11.

I agree with you both in that they shouldn't play (maybe harsh on Ake, who could do with playing along side a competent left back) but I think he'll see an 'easy' game at home to Norwich, as a chance for them to get a game before the fixtures really ramp up in the coming weeks.
 
I have a suspicion that we will wait and see on KDB’s ankle. If he consistently struggles to play 6 days after a match he’ll be dispatched to Dr Cugat. I think we’ve gambled on KDB’s fitness while waiting on Foden to return. I think once Foden is back we’ll make a decision on an operation for KDB.

On tomorrow’s match, we really need an early goal. We’ve had 3 straight 1-0 defeats so we need to find the net just to get us up and running. Mendy shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near this one.
 
What's everyone's plans for tomorrow? Where are you going? Are people going to the ground early like advised or is it normal service resumed? Few drinks and get to the ground with 20 15/20 minutes spare?
 
i was getting a bit of stick from rags in the pub about this game going on general sale...... united had 4k empty seats against leeds... just sayin

Ok Blues thanks for your support earlier, I really was ready to throw the towel in after over 45 years of glorious ups and downs not to mention black eyes and cuts from various aways in the 70's and 80's (it was different then) after many miles and an early start I arrived at the ticket office and was seen to after only a 2 minute wait, I had the money for 2 extra payments City had taken out my account returned to my account, given 2 'proper' card tickets for tomorrows game and both my season e-tickets set up on my daughters and my new email accounts, all done in 10 minutes flat ! I was so chuffed i even went in the souvenir shop and bought some guff for the company van ;))
Once again cheers blues you kept me sane.

What are they moaning at before? Those moaners as you label them have bothered to buy tickets. If you charge your core support full price then offer the same tickets to people that didn't want one at that price at a cheaper price then they have every right to moan.

that's as short sighted as you can get and whilst our marketing/ticketing team gets a lot of often justified criticism, I can't see them being that inept.

If we don’t put the ball in the opponents net tomorrow, we really need to start worrying.
 
I know quite a few ST holders not going tomorrow. Suspect we all do.
Be surprised if there's more than around 45k actually in the ground.
