Could be us still then. Just not sure if €80m is a sound investmentUpdate to this the club is Spurs. Fiorentina don’t want to sell now this late in the window. Will only sell if a massive offer over 80 million comes in.

You know what’s really not a sound investment? ...Just not sure if €80m is a sound investment
Best striker in Prem with a proven goalscoring record. Risk in value but there's context. Let's see, the club usually get it right. You know what’s really not a sound investment? ...

The manager who's managing the squad knows what the team needs more, so if Pep wants Kane, the club has to deliver. Delap is our project striker. Not sure €80m on Vlahovic is wise now, might as well wait, as most say here, to try for Haaland. If you doubt Kane's ability, that's another issue as well.Let’s agree to (strongly) disagree. This isn’t how it works anywhere in the world. The manager has preferences of course, but the club is the one paying and working with scouts and data analysts, since the manager himself doesn’t have the time to be watching dozens of teams around the world every week. And it’s been reported that Pep made a LIST of strikerS. So it simply isn’t true that he’s Kane or bust.if Pep wants Kane, the club has to deliver
I don’t; I have probably a hundred posts here affirming that he’s a very good player. I just can see clearly that around here with the English members, he’s talked about in very wild terms, and is (to me and basically all the fans from my Brazil and Argentina that I talk to on a daily basis) clearly overrated. If you doubt Kane's ability, that's another issue as well.
Are you that confident? You reckon they will 100% sign a striker before the end of window? Because all summer we've heard it's Kane or nowt. Not saying the club wouldn't have a list but it seems Kane was top of that list and was a priority, but not over a certain value. This isn’t how it works anywhere in the world. goona say it, but i like this as well, you still come across as a nowty fucker though :)This isn’t how it works anywhere in the world. This isn’t what I said. Maybe we won’t sign one, but what I meant isn’t that Pep told the board “I only want Kane”. He had his list. And it’s probable that he told them, “among these, I would prefer Kane”. And maybe the club, confident they could seal the deal, have been strongly focused on him — though, who knows...Are you that confident? The not entirely true though is it.Because all summer we've heard it's Kane or nowt.
It’s very possible that Pep really wanted Koulibaly last year based on profile and had Gimenez and Kounde as his alternatives, which he would know well from being at Spanish teams. Dias has “club choice” written all over him. Doubt he had seen enough Benfica to be impressed, especially since he wasn’t really that impressive there or even playing for Portugal. The not entirely true though is it.
He quite clearly is the number one target, but we’ve been linked with and enquired about a few different strikers, Haaland, Ings, Lukaku and recently Vlahovic to name a few.
I’m sure the board have told Pep that they will try to get his number one target, but I’m sure they also told him they’d only get him if it was financially viable.
Pep understands the financial side of the game too, we walked away from players in the past that wasn’t financially viable and Pep was fine with that.
It may well end being Kane or nowt cos we’ve left it too long, but it hasn’t been that way all summer.

We didn't create a lot of chances in our 3 games prior to Norwich. 1-0 1-0 1-0This probably sounds flippant, but do we actually need a great / world-class striker ? ... or just someone decent who for 90 minutes will keep making those runs for the likes of KDB, Grealish, etc to find ?
We create so many chances that any decent, fit, confident striker would bag plenty of goals for us.
I’ve been saying that a decent one will do. We don’t need to spend 160 million poundsThis probably sounds flippant, but do we actually need a great / world-class striker ? ... or just someone decent who for 90 minutes will keep making those runs for the likes of KDB, Grealish, etc to find ?
