Champions League - 2021/22

It’s the before’s that worry me, a bad selection here or there & we could find ourselves off the pace

Depends how many recovery days between games too. For example we play Leicester on 3pm Saturday so if the first CL game is on a Wednesday that shouldn't be an issue.

Very tough group. Do we know who we’ll be playing first ? Of course it’s important to get off to a good start.

I'll be honest I've no idea what they've done in the summer and how they'll fair this season so I could be wrong but they've been on a downward spiral for 18 months, lost their manager and both CB's so I don't see them being as strong as they were when they were in the latter stages of the competition 18 months ago. We've faced gladbach and hoffenheim sides in pot 4 in the past few years that have been at least as strong.

Yes, as I replied just before replying here, am aware they've lost those players and their manager but they have a deep squad.

Last match they won 4-0 and were impressive.

Szoboszlai is one of theirs to watch. His goals and the other one - a fantastic team goal with great buildup possession play scored by Foresburg - should show what they are capable of.

United should be able to beat off Young Boys, however.

That’s a bastard group but we’ll still come through it at the top I reckon.

If we do then it’ll stand us in good stead for the rest - no easy pickings in the group or time to let our guard down.

Three goes at PSG this season means we should know how not to capitulate to them in the final.

Anyone have an idea of what Leipzig away would be like atmosphere wise? Stadium any good. Standard great German noise fest? Paris might be a bit lively aggro wise. Brugge looks pick of the trips.

But that's the good thing about it, we play against good teams.

If Peps leaving in 2 years its currently my biggest regret about his tenure that we didn't play more European games against Barcelona, Bayern, PSG, Madrid and Juventus.

We're the best side in Europe, the best City side ever and I want to see more massive games against the old european elite

Sorry, I haven’t been following the buildup to this draw but can someone explain how a last year finalist and semi-finialist can end up in one group? Seriously both PSG and city should be in pot 1?
