Yes, If United gets Haaland, then it will mark the beginning of the end of City's dominance over them.
City’s dominance will be determined by their games against the other 18 teams, not United! We could lose both games and still win the League, which is what matters.

That said, I would greatly prefer us to get him, not them!

I meant dominance by the league position. They are already getting ahead in the head-to-head battle.

So Haaland and his hanger ons wan't a guaranteed 500 million over 5 years, what does the club get for their money ? They just get potential and that's it. Does Haaland guarantee in writing 50 goals a season for five years? No does he guarantee that he won't have a season out injured no . When you are demanding a lot you need to ensure you can deliver a lot , Haaland and Rioala can't actually guarantee that Haaland could do it in the premier League. It's a lot of money for just potential.

2 things about the 'world class striker issue': 1. We may already have one at the club. 2. We may score fewer goals as a team by changing formation/personnel.

There are no guarantees; Haaland is not proven if Sancho is said to be unproven.

Thing with Haaland is, I'm not really sure if he can flourish in our style of play. Argument for Kane was always that he can do both the number 9 role and possesses the abilities of a number 10 which suited our style to the tee.

Come next summer any top player we are interested in is going to be asking ‘who will be manager’ Going to be interesting.

£2m/week? Where is this figure pulled from?

We must be looking at him, I can’t believe the board that keeps saying we want the CL and be ‘aggressive’ in the market etc would just sit back and watch him go to the scum.

What is the point of all the investment and work so far to get the club to where we are now if we then won’t go the last mile to get the top class forward we need?

Not only would signing a world class striker take us to the next level as a team, but it would also increase our global standing with sponsors, and get us up there commercially so we can overcome ffp and continue to grow. We need that income, the image and kudos that star players help generate.

We also don’t want to waste the time where we have the best manager in the world by not giving him a proper top striker to work with.

Doesn't this just absolutely scream "City try to play the long patient game relying on Haalands fandom of the club and then lose the transfer to a team who made an offer, paid the money and got him to sign ASAP"?
100%. This reeks of entitled united fan screaming 'oh he'll sign for us because of our history and we're united' shit. The board needs to realize that player nowadays is cut from a different cloth.

You feel like this is one of those balls and everything out on the table sort of transfers, that unfortunately we don't like to do. Not going to be fun if he comes to England but doesn't join us.

Absolutely spot on. Which is exactly why he will not move for anywhere close to the numbers being handed around.
