The family thought having electric and fresh bread to soak up the lard was more important
I know I had a few pints pre match & a couple of 7Brothers cans on the concourse, but I'm sure the tram I caught back to my digs wasn't a figment of my imagination.
Being paid 23 million euros a year tends to remove him from the experience of the ordinary match-going fan. What get‘s me about Pep’s comments is that he probably hasn’t paid to get into a match for years . He has no right questioning any City supporter, the same supporters who will be here long after he leaves.
no trams to town when I was there last night. Not for a while after the match had finished yesterday I’d have thought.
I walked alongside the tram line back to town and didn’t see one either
So glad Covid is going to be over by the weekend, effing sick of itAgree with the points about transport. i don’t live far from Manchester but there’s no way of getting there and back for me that doesn’t seem to be a strong combination of ball ache and cost.
Ticket prices I find quite reasonable for the games we watch, the transport is more the issue with the hassle it adds on top. it stops running too early to be useful or you almost need to book a day off to travel it all! Usually drive now but that is often a pain, spent ages sat in that car park
Chuck in coronavirus still being about (especially on tightly packed transport again) and posing the risk of you having to isolate for 2weeks best case if you catch it.
Combination of these on top of a day at work meant I just cba. And I do enjoy the CL games.
Saying that I’m there this weekend, but can manage the extra factors a bit better with the day.
What is it that you annoys you about Pep's comments? I feel I must be missing something. I watched the interview and all he does is literally invite more fans to attend the game at the weekend because the team will need them.Season card holder, originally from Manchester, but moved to London 4 years ago to start work.
In the past, I’d never miss a game. Since moving to London, I’ve kept my season card going for the premier league, have travelled nearly every home match weekend to Manchester and attended pretty much all of the games.
Makes 0 sense for me to travel back midweek too (and in any case I can’t, because I’m usually working 14 hour days).
Suspect there are many more who make such an effort which is basically ignored by pep’s comments
Read this and tell me why you were so irked that you had to start a topicIn light of Pep's comments, if you're a season card holder, why didn't you buy a ticket and go last night?
It isn't a go at people because I'm a season card holder and haven't been to a CL game since the Liverpool quarter final
In my case it comes down to cost
I spend nearly £800 on a season card and that's enough.
My exception would be for very special games or very competitively priced matches
Let's be honest..there's not a problem about attendances at weekend games..Read this and tell me why you were so irked that you had to start a topic
"I'd like more people to come on Saturday, we need the people. I invite all our people to come Saturday, 3 pm, to watch the game."
You're being told you're needed and that upsets you?
I'm only kidding Mark,id feel a bit uncomfy in those surroundings.I'd happily attend in more 'normal' circumstances though ;-)with pleasure mate I will give you a shout
Perhaps due to the way Pep’s comments have been reported it’s a topic that needs discussion. Ten pages of comments with no blue on blue slagging also proves it’s a matter for discussionRead this and tell me why you were so irked that you had to start a topic

My ticket last night was £17.50
I'd say that's better than competitively priced... it costs more to get into league 2 grounds
