Etihad Atmosphere - 2021/22

You're probably right mate, but as I said, the OSC is a club approved source of dialogue with the hierarchy.
If people really want to change things for supporters by working with the club, it's a more accessible resource than BM.
I really can't understand why some people are so 'anti' the OSC.
I think most City fans were fairly indifferent to the OSC until this week. I know I was. But following the completely stupid comments from its spokesperson putting the boot into our manager and totally misunderstanding his comments about attendances I know I now want nothing to do with it!

Piss poor today.
Loads of empties when the players came out.
Family stand leaving on 80 mins.
Singing section, 1894 or whatever they call themselves singing obscure songs at 100 miles an hour that don't travel around the ground, creating a shit atmosphere but no doubt patting themselves on the back on a job well done. Shite

Always empties when the teams come out. Good attendance I thought.

Was thinking of a new topic group - ‘Man Bags’ - but dumping it in here instead. After the long wait to get into the stadium today - one of the security bods told me my man bag - which is a small messenger bag was ‘too big’ as it needs to be A4 sized. I politely told him that I’ve been bringing it to the stadium since it opened and I refused to leave the queue. Common sense prevailed and he put a pathetic little tag on it and let me through. But he then told me the club are going to ban all bags - of any size - from next month. Now - I know this isn’t as important as why we don’t have a striker - or why we were pants today - but I travel home and away (and have done for the past 40 years) from London. I need my man bag to hold my iPad, headphones, charger and glasses case - so I can survive the 5 hours on the train to each home game. So now it appears I won’t be able to do that - now I could always downsize the iPad and get smaller headphones - irritating - but doable - but what about 87 year old Dorris who sits in front of me and brings her thermos and a cushion for the seat - and what about all the tourists buying shite from the shop - it’s as if the club is trying to make everything so difficult for us - it’s petty and deeply annoying and is of such irrelevance that City Matters won’t even organise a protest for us man bag users…anyway fellow bag carriers - you’ve been warned!!! And I feel oddly better now that’s off my chest….
You can store a bag in a secure locker for £10 (£5 for seasoncard / Citizens members)… I think it should be free but at least they’ve given people who have to take a bag an option.. I heard them announce the new facility as I walked over from Asda

Scum at the Daily Fail photographed Empty Seats in the away end.

Passed them off as ours.

And captioned : "Pep wont be happy"

Suppose we will have to get used to this journalistic shit for a while.

This is going around social media tonight. Honestly who thought this was a good idea?

It's so incredibly small time. How can the club not realise that this kind of obsessive need to prove everyone wrong about attendance figures only makes other clubs' fans bring it up more.

What’s wrong with it?

At least it proves a point.

Yeah ok

The problem is that, as 'head' of the OSC, Kevin Parker is always going to be approached by the media for a comment on supporter related matters.
All he did was give his personal opinion, but that was reported as the view of all City fans. He was naive if he thought the largely anti-City media wouldn't turn his words into an attack on Pep.
It goes with the territory.
The simple fact is that if Pep hadn't gone on his unnecessary rant on Wednesday night, none of this would be an issue. Pep should stick to talking about football rather than rambling about bums on seats.

The only point it proves is that the fanbase and club are so paranoid about anyone commenting on attendence numbers that they'll drag up figures from 1934 to try and prove City are a bigger club than....fucking Southampton.

People want the press to stop bringing up crowd numbers or opposition fans to stop joking about the Emptyhad etc. but it's never going to happen while the fans are so insecure about it.

Asda are missing a trick if they aren't considering installing £2 a day lockers for match days.

Had a drink or two? No you’re not a rag but the poster has been on Bluemoon a long time and is blue through and through. Have a good night. C’mon City!
I’m sick of reading the lies in the press, I’m not taking it from a so called miserable blue

Those statistics prove the press and other fans are full of shit

It proves nothing. It's like someone with little man syndrome carrying around a tape measure so they can whip it out and prove they are actually 5ft 8 and half so don't call them short.

Pep needs to spend more time rambling about bums on the pitch or does he only save that for 5:0 wins and does it from the touchline?

And so he should. Yes, it's not his fault the players didn't perform to their usual standard this afternoon. But he did himself no favours this week.

Did you actually read this or just the headline?

I didn't say anything wrong after Leipzig. I said we had an incredibly tough game, had an incredibly tough game against Southampton and we would need the support of our fans.
I never complained about how many come or don't come. I have never thought this in my life. I don't know why people are asking me this question. I am grateful even if 85 or 100 people come."
