Could we go for him in January? Offering higher than the summer clause?
The clause already kicks in JanuaryCould we go for him in January? Offering higher than the summer clause?

Or compare the lad to Kane who has consistently bags on average 20+ in the toughest league in the world in the past 5+ years.Compare this lad with Kane who has been poor for months. There is no comparison.
No offence but if you think Dortmund have any say in where he is going, you do not understand this transfer.I’d say try and do a sweetener with Dortmund and let them keep him for the rest of the season but they apparently don’t like us. The pricks. They’d probably much rather keep bowing down to Bayern and be happy finishing below them every year.
It isn’t in their business model to accept a buy back. They buy cheap and sell high.I think other cubs will offer much more than his buyout, so why not offer £150m plus Sterling and Delap with a buy back clause for Delap so if he works out we can have him back? Lets be honest he wont get the chance at City that he will at Dortmund.
Has being the Key word in that sentance. I doubt he will be banging in 20+ goals the next five seasons. He currently looks more like £40m than £100mOr compare the lad to Kane who has consistently bags on average 20+ in the toughest league in the world in the past 5+ years.
Wel just include Delap then.It isn’t in their business model to accept a buy back. They buy cheap and sell high.
In fairness, I think we are the pricks in that relationship. So........I’d say try and do a sweetener with Dortmund and let them keep him for the rest of the season but they apparently don’t like us. Think Riola will play a bigger part in Haaland not coming here than Haaland himself.Guys, if Haaland doesn't end up here. It would be because he chose someone else. And not because management didn't do everything in its power to make it happen.
In the end, it's his decision where he wants to go. Literally!
You have information, im impressed. No one is offering more than the clause

The only sweeteners worth throwing are to the Haaland family and Mino.
He's already on 11 goals in all comps this season. The numbers he's putting up are just frightening; and the only thing that stunts these numbers is a serious injury.
In a hypothetical scenario, if he wants circa 400-450k at his next club then we have to pay it; because there will be plenty of other clubs willing, they'll find a way of doing so and making it work. He's already the best striker in the world (of course that's a subjective take but I don't see how it's arguable) and he'd arrive here as our most important and valuable player. It's an unpalatable truth that some on this forum might not accept, but we're still some way behind the likes of Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern in terms of prestige and allure. We can't expect generational players like this to run through brick walls to come to us if we're not going to pay a little more than the aforementioned clubs. Because if it comes to us offering pay parity with those others, he's choosing one of them. Simple as that.
He's the one we have to change tact for next summer.

Probably true, so if we need to clear out some players to free up some salary then we can get shot of Sterling, Jesus and Beenado. He's already on 11 goals in all comps this season. The numbers he's putting up are just frightening; and the only thing that stunts these numbers is a serious injury.
