Thats abysmal management.
Thats the classic way to lose dressing room. Has to go.
It's very "holistic" we see the men waste throw ins regularly, and they also pass back a lot. Both teams are largely useless at any set piece, and it goes back beyond Pep, Manuel, and Roberto. Our throw-ins never seem to come to anything but the need for more defensive work on our part, no matter where the throw-in was, and just why do a substantial number of our passes just get passed back to the person who just passed to you?
Taylor on the BBC website "I think I have proved I can bring a brand of football that is exciting to watch but is winning football.”
If he thinks, spending a third of the match playing it about in our own penalty area is exciting, then I think he should give his head a wobble.
I turn up to the women's games hoping that the sideways, backwards, return passing was a thing of the previous match, but every game is a disappointment. It is repeated ad nauseam, and it's wholly unnecessary. You can build up from the goalkeeper, but the repetitive passing across the back four, back to the goalie, back across the back four, is just mind-numbing, and destroys any expectation among the fans that we are gonna see a dynamic game of football with the emphasis firmly placed on getting the ball into the opposition penalty area and making them defend that space, and not allowing them all the time the game has in just shifting their shape to match which flank we have chosen to engage.Taylor on the BBC website "I think I have proved I can bring a brand of football that is exciting to watch but is winning football.”

For me, the way we played is the crucial bit. The random elements that make up a game of football ensure no team is infallible, so losing does not bother me so much. This season we cannot be described as a "team", just 11 women who wear our kit. If everI have never thought that any City team would lose a game before starting (although in the old days this was very very difficult) but IF ....... against the Rags, Taylor should be sacked before the players leave the field. This team, which was until recently up with the worlds best women’s sides is now quickly becoming an embarrassment . City have lost only four league games since 2018/19 season and have lost the last three in a row. In addition to the losses, the way we have played has been inexcusable.
Come on City, prove me wrong!
The Rags were taken apart by Chelsea at home. But I confidently expect them to win comfortably against this current City team.Does anyone know of a bookie that offers odds on women's super league matches? I fancy an insurance bet on utd to soften the blow of the inevitable defeat, but can't find odds anywhere.
The continentals are way ahead of the English sides.I'm not one who normally gloats at other teams misfortunes, and I can also spin a bit of an untruth when the occasion requires, but I see the Arse 'ladies' took a battering last night by the mighty Barca, 4-1. The day begins well!
CFC women showed the same gulf in ability last season. There's summat about continental women's teams that seem to demonstrate a different level to the FAWSL glitterati!
We still have salary caps in England right?I'm not one who normally gloats at other teams misfortunes, and I can also spin a bit of an untruth when the occasion requires, but I see the Arse 'ladies' took a battering last night by the mighty Barca, 4-1. The day begins well!

I think that is the case, but even if a continental team can attract the top players and pay 'em a few bob extra it's a measure of how much better the women's game is 'sur le continent'! I wonder if City Women and GT ever look at one of Barca's games. It might be that they would stroll against poor sides but when they play English teams the top continental teams are at least a couple of levels higher. I thought, when we got Vicky Losada we were filching one of the top continental players - might have been the end of her contract and they have a 21yr old replacement at Barca! And the likelihood of seeing these teams at The Academy next season looks highly remote! We still have salary caps in England right?
