For one, lol.

For two, this is why it’s never worth getting emotionally involved with the majority of players that put on the sky blue shirt. They care as much for our club as you do for your employer.

Straight swap for James Milner incoming. At left back, obviously.

Unless I could get a move to Madrid, Barca or Paris, personally speaking, I would go for it with Newcastle.

The first person that goes with them will be treated like a God and Sterling could easily demand £500k a week and get it.

They need to break a glass ceiling and if Raheem wants to play every week and be in on something totally left field, I would take the punt.

He's won practically everything there is to win and he's not playing every week for Madrid, Paris. Possibly Barca, as they are so far off it.

and having already lived through the pelters attributed to him as a money grabbing mercinary just for coming here and winning things, might as well cash in properly.

It is an outrageous suggestion on the one hand. And not that far fetched on the other. Can't see it happening, but someone is at some point going to make a move like that.

Hopefully he goes abroad. You just know if he signed for them he’d immediately find his form and the media would be fawning all over him

He is not even going to start ahead of Mane & Salah. As for form, his level has been the same for about 18 months. He has lost his pace a bit and he rarely dribbles past people.

I don't think Sterling has player well for over a year.

However when the same happened with John Stones did he get the abuse off City fans that Sterling is getting?
Stones wasn't being forced into the team week in week out..there are differences.

If sterling goes back to the dippers he will end up like shaqiri...unless they expect to lose salah.

I did say if it were me. I love a pound note.

I was laughed out of court on here last year when I said he was a world class defender and only his injuries and personal issues were getting in the way.

Sterling has never been close to being world class and, unlike John, cannot even point to injuries, because that is one area where he never has an issue.

Never known a player avoid injury lay-offs like Raheem.

Yep,their situations are incomparable.

And Sterling is indeed a physical marvel.

Never been close to world class? really? Come on man. I know his form has tanked, but 2 years ago people were comparing him to Messi and Ronaldo in the press! It was of course a reach, but he was easily one of the best forwards in the world.

He was arguably, for at least two seasons, the most important attacking player for one of the three best teams on the planet.

I'm not really going to tell you you're wrong because "world class" is a meaningless label but I do feel like people are really pushing hard on the revisionism the closer we get to his departure.

Yeah, would be like a Gareth Barry to City moment when everyone thought he was nailed on for anfield

All about opinions, I choose not to respect those media opinions who said he was/is one of the best in the world. From the very same people who were writing shit about him before he rightly called out some of them for racial undertones.

Anybody who was comparing him to Messi and Ronaldo, football isn't for them.

He's had two very good seasons with us since he arrived, as his first one under Pellegrini was understandably disjointed.

You can be a good player, which I do consider Raheem can be on his day, without buying into the narrative he is anything above that.

I wish him well, he needs a fresh start somewhere else at this stage of his career.

Yes, the very definition of world class is very subjective, and we will have to disagree he was our most important attacker.

Big, late goals, yes, but not mutually exclusive the correlation that because City were sweeping all before them, by extension, Raheem must be bracketed by the same barometer.

The way I define world class is would I consider a particular player if I was picking a hypothetical composite world 11. A couple of years ago I might have considered Raz but now he is so far away from that. I think a change of scenery is what he needs.

Surely to god there is no way Raz would go back to Liverpool after all the shit he has taken from the fans and ex players.

I think the reaction from City fans would be very interesting. Liverpool are our biggest modern rivals and it would kinda suck to see him move there given everything. He's essentially grown up at City.
