Great first half, seemed to run out of legs abit. Good atmosphere good 3 points , and not so far to get home ;)

Does anybody else feel Cancelo was unlucky to get the yellow card?

IMO he never really tackled the lad more Lamptey swang into him, Cancelo was stood stock still at the time of the collision.

Going off Lamptey's and the commentator's reaction you'd think Cancelo had stamped him around the knee.

That ref couldn’t wait for an excuse to book our players. The difference now is we are so good we still dominate, in the past many key decisions would go against us and some teams would get something from us.

Sensational for 30 mins. Second half slacked off and failed to manage the game. Some decent defending when Brighton put some pressure on. Overall not too bad at all. Foden, Bernado excellent. Still waiting for KdB to find his form.

Agreed their goal was coming but, big BUT, why before the goal we are all over the place, after they scored, we reverted to default and they barely got a touch?

Which is right, if the linemen are flagging. It isn’t right when they are being told not to flag because VAR will check. If the lineman thinks it’s going into another phase he should flag.

Exactly this, soon as the linesman considers ‘next phase’ then he should be putting his flag up, he never, which constitutes to a ‘clear & obvious’ mistake, you know the get out phrase they keep using. Var was brought in to clear up these mistakes (so they said?) not create more confusion. It’s a simple equation, when is offside actually offside, when a player is offside……simples

Just for the sake of balance I'd say that Redknapp has done a lot of praising for City tonight, seeing as that's been ignored.

Great win. Phenomenal in the 1st half and Bernardo, Foden and Cancelo were superb.

You know what would be nice though? If the referees were so concerned with time wasting every time an opponent does it at the Etihad ever other week. We 100% get treated differently than most other sides.

Every opposing keeper timewastes at the Etihad without punishment, often from the 1st minute. Pope was doing it last week when Burnley were losing.
