Spurs Thread - 2021/22

Very surprised Conte is in talks unless Levy has spouted BS over transfer budget.

The one pull factor Spurs have over the rags is that they will allow Conte to go after his own transfer targets (if they have the money).

A lot of the moaning from Spurs fans is that they have played in a negative manner and been too defensive under the last two managers. Hope Levy realises Conte is a defensive manager. Might get a tune out of Kane though as Lukaku thrived under his management at Inter.

Conte apparently (and rightly) had concerns about Utd’s transfer policy of aiming for big names rather than those that fit a certain system. Been the same since the whiskey left nearly 10 years ago so think you’re right with that one.

Thing is, Conte isn’t afraid to walk if he’s not happy like he did at Inter when they were selling the best players and not backing him in the market. Levy Will have to stick to his word!

Nuno sacked for being 8th in the table in October.

Anyone remember when we were 8th in the table in January, then went on to win the thing? Good times.

LMAO, the only caveat being we had the greatest manager of all time in PEP and a fantastic squad which had won titles and had experience. At Spurs there ain't nothing but HOT AIR.

Conte might take over Spurs after Ole got Nuno sacked.... you can't make this shit up ahahahahahah
Ragcafe meltdown incoming ...

So Levy was claimed to refuse to yield to Conte's demands over the summer, which is why it fell apart.

I can totally see how, now that they have sacked the manager they appointed instead, have no summer to make transfers in, are playing catchip in the table and have a demottivated team and star player, Conte's position is now so much weaker that he might soften his stance on his demands!

Spurs fans (Like all fans) dont know when they've got it good.

When they had Poch, Walker, Rose, Kane, peak Alli, Eriksen their fans were still not happy. wtf, they'll never achieve anything imo.

Kinda reminds of those knobs calling for Pep out when we get a couple of bad results or lose a final.

Just can't believe how badly they've squandered the position they were in in 2019. Champions League finalists, basically a cert for top 4, a long-term project in place. Just needed to back Pochettino to keep it going, but no. Now they're in a cycle of short-term managers overseeing an ageing squad that gets worse by the season.

Moving stadium just fucks teams over, doesn't it?

come on keep up " were just a club that keeps throwing money at it till it works"
Simple Simon this mornings ramble

Just backed him at 25/1 to get the Newcastle job.

I think Newcastle are getting Fonseca which will be brilliant because Spurs rejected him this summer because the new DOF didn't want open attacking football.

So hopefully he goes to Newcastle and has them leapfrog Spurs playing exciting football and Levy looks like a giant prick again.

Yeah - look at us......

If Newcastle are smart, they jump straight in for Nuno.

He's a decent enough manager for them and they won't get anyone better at present.

Disagree. He was poor at Porto, poor to average at Valencia, started well but then halted all progress at Wolves and looks completely burned out and lost at Spurs.

If they wait until they are clear of the relegation zone, they will attract loads of good managers.

They aren't going to get the calibre of manager they had hoped and, if they wait any longer, they will be down before January comes around.

He's good enough for what they need right now and he's available with Premier League experience. He also has a powerful ally in Jorge Mendes, when it comes to perhaps picking up a player or two when the window reopens.
