My late mate Boz (RIP) was in them, started as manager and then they made him start going on stage as Al O’Pecia
No one!I think they could have made a series out of it but obviously it was set up as a one off and Savage is always going to make it about him as that is what he is like.
As for him getting involved in the dressing rooms - its clearly unprofessional but at the same time the average manager at that level is a no one to the players. I'm sure all the player really like having him involved.
Mike Farrelly and Phil Power are Macc legends. Savage is a dilettante with a financial agenda. No one!
He’s a fucking Macc legend.
Not Savage you dipstick!Mike Farrelly and Phil Power are Macc legends. Savage is a dilettante with a financial agenda.
Apologies but your post was a little unclear and a little bit mentalNot Savage you dipstick!
Danny Whitaker.
The manager.
No it wasn’t.Apologies but your post was a little unclear and a little bit mental
Let’s all agree Savage is a self-serving twat and leave it there
Who’s manager ?No it wasn’t.
It was clear.
I was responding to the “no one” remark about the manager.
A dipsticks?Who’s manager ?
Sounds like a poor manager, not surprised someone talked over him.A dipsticks?
Not sure if we’re still talking about Macc now or about that shit stain of a club from Trafford? ;)Sounds like a poor manager, not surprised someone talked over him.
I watched the doc at the weekend. Very good.
I loved the insight into what the players wanted at that level. Having agents when you are earning £50 a week - 'you might have to give them a £5' was a good line. They are 3 tiers down from league 2 and Robbie had £350pw for the top earners - that is before any win bonus etc. How do these teams with only a few hundred paying fans pay these rates.

What puzzled me was his claim they aren't allowed to segregate when asked after the Congleton game. The puzzling part of this was that they said they used an agency to book all the players for the trials... so I'm not really sure how he could expect them to not have an agent.
I would guess that many of the kids released out of academies have/had a relationship with a professional agency - it would be easy enough for them to send 11 players to a trial and they would not expect 10% of a £50 a week wage. That would be different to a chancer agent who thinks they are Jerry Maguire and i bet there are a few of those about in the lower leagues. The puzzling part of this was that they said they used an agency to book all the players for the trials... so I'm not really sure how he could expect them to not have an agent.

I think the owner will tire of his attention seeking antics and get rid of him before too long.
