Interesting. But, thinking logically, viruses that are both more virulent and cause more sickness tend to burn out more quickly. Put simply, people who are sick don't go out and about spreading it. That is one of the things that has made Covid so bad - that 30% of people who get it are asymptomatic and are out merrily spreading it around without realising it.

I believe that is quite misleading as it’s based on a lot of the young and not the elderly catching it so far that’s what I heard on the news early hours this morning

I'd be more concerned about trusting the judgement and professionalism of someone who has the mentality of both working in intensive care and being anti-vaccine.

i was joking but what they wear is as safe as you could possibly have on to prevent you from catching covid off the patients ! its not very pleasant for 13 hours on a warm hospital ward without a break! i can confirm they are not real spacesuits ffs

Saying she wants new arrivals into the UK to quarantine for 8 days, and take a day 2 and day 8 PCR test, and she wants all 4 nations to adopt this stance. This is after Johnson announced a more lenient approach on Saturday night for England with a PCR test to be taken before the end of day 2, and self isolate until the results are known.

Look Nicola - I get what you're saying but trying to foist that on England when a different strategy has already been announced a couple of days earlier is just going to screw people's plans up further as they've probably already made arrangements to cater for whatever Johnson announced on Saturday. And if I'm not mistaken, despite her more hardline recommendation Scotland haven't even put anything in place yet, whereas England has*

* Edit - Seems I am mistaken and the new travel rules announced by Johnson on Saturday apply to the whole UK

So if Iam getting this correct I can stand at a packed bar jostling to get served without a mask but when Iam wandering Tesco in my own space I don’t need to wear a mask !
Are we are driving into another lockdown ?

I don’t get why someone in his line of work seeing all the illness and deaths wouldn’t want to get the vaccine ?

they are testing the water but i cant see as many people listening anymore! the worry for people is if they tell us do do one thing and totally comply it will lead to further restrictions !
