Erling Haaland

While I stand alone, a bell is ringing far away...

I wonder if you hear, I wonder if you're listening...
This is clearly a quote from young Master Haaland who is longing for the deal with City (even more than the Fjords). He's called Raiola and told him to make it happen, but the greedy one (and maybe Haaland Senior too) doesn't want to do the deal and he's not answering Erling's call.........

Doesn’t this mean that we’re not likely to get Haaland as they won’t commit in January and we ”have people we can move on to?”

That's the worry. To be fair, they are well within their rights, as are Dortmund to at least insist they aren't open to offers in Jan.

I suspect the truth is that when Haaland pushes the button, everything else will fall into place.

If you don`t like it just keep away from the thread.
This is how Tolm works and has done for years, so as a newbie you should show a little bit more respect to someone who works within the media and therefore hears more snippets than most.
None of those things are mutually exclusive.

I respect Tolmie and what he does.
I don't like teasing posts.

I think the big question is where does Alfie stand on this, we have seen some reports out of Norway, that we are the favorites, and they were the same sources that said Alfie was trying to get Erling here last summer. So I guess the question is, does Erling want to go to Madrid, or is Mino the one pushing the move to Madrid?

And City don't yet know the firm answer to that question.

We have cards to play, I'm sure of that.

Selling Torres for €70 straight and using it to pay most of Haalands release clause would be a great look for the club.

Much easier to bat away any rumours about agents fees and wages if you can say "Yeah it's a lot but we basically got him for free by selling the wantaway".

I think Pep's quotes about Grealish not being £100m but £60m plus 3 players we sold shows they think about these things and care about it.

Absolutely this.

You mean barca has 70 million ?

There is no concrete agreement with Haaland at present and Dortmund don't want to do a deal with anyone this Winter.

City aren't going to talk themselves away from the bidding, but remain guarded and unimpressed with Mino and are absolutely sure he is trying to get him to Madrid.

We know all the related costs and they aren't the issue.

City and Pep refusing to be stalled much longer, as we do have people in January we can move on to.

I'm sure we can wait for Haaland, but only if we can nail down some sort of pre-contract agreement in Jan that can be announced.

Doesn’t Haaland have any say?

Or is he just letting his agent dictate his career!?

The thing is Madrid are going to struggle to register Mbappe and Haaland. La ligas new ffp rules fucked Barca over it will fuck madrid over as well unless they get rid of high wages.

I also retain hope that if a Torres deal is agreed, we can become more aggressive.

I'd like to see us use the extra cash to really force the issue in January, as opposed to putting it straight into the summer release clause for some positive PR. Go to BVB in January with £100m all-in.

Come on Barcelona have no money and players they want to get rid of that no one wants!

Personally can’t see Haaland moving January come summer we will see? Am Sceptical with how mino works we end up with him.

Haaland will have a say. The issue is we can't actually engage with him directly.

Doesn't matter what he's telling Raiola. All that fxck needs to do is say "I'm handling it" then go play silly bugger with the potential suitors.
