The lad is rapidly proving himself to be very good at what he does.In terms of professionalism, the two other skip rats you mention aren't in the same galaxy.
I'm not blinkered or narrow minded enough to give a fuck about his previous allegiance,i only care about his ability and what he could offer us,and right now, given other options.....we would be foolish not keep a watching brief on him.

He’s managed three premier league games so far.

Three!

It’s way too early to say he’s proving himself to be anything at all.

We have no idea whether this is anything more than a simple case of new manager bounce at the moment.

He’s good at press conferences - but with the amount of media training he’ll have had with England and the Dippers as a player, you’d expect that as a minimum!

We need to see where Villa are at the end of next season to properly make a call on him as a manager.

Ok, so in all seriousness; if Pep says he’s going to leave and we’re searching for a new manager, what if Steven Gerrard is the best option?
Just say he’s built a really strong team who play great football and are hard to beat and he’s a genuine contender - could you get behind him as our manager?
