Thinking about the Jota goal and the head injury argument last night. While I hate everything about that shit stain of a club this feigning head injuries to stop the game seems to be happening more and more. Often it's when a team is under threat someone goes down holding their head or face, job done as the ref normally halts the game. More gamesmanship creeping in.
It's one of the great wonders of the game how players never get cramp when their side is losing

You obviously didn't read what he said properly because he specifically said listen to the experts.

He isn't trying to be a scientist, he's trying to get the right message and information into the hands of people who need it most.
As I have already mentioned I agree with what he is saying.

Burnley are one team that specialise in this, noticed it quite a few times and not just when they’re playing us.
Send all their big lads up for a set piece, if they fail to win it and the opposition have the chance of a break, one of them will invariably go down holding his head.
It’s a despicable and cynical exploitation of a serious player welfare protocol. You might call it ‘Tactical Play-acting’

Don’t mind them wanting the league to continue, it’s their profession and their opinion.

However, I’d wager Klopp would have the opposite message if his caffeine club were sat lowly in 6th or somewhere.

Or cheating.

De Gea against Arsenal was another perfect example. Fred stood on his toe at a corner and he went down motionless like something was seriously wrong when reality was he was trying to stop the game at what was a dangerous arsenal attack. The fact that arsenal scored made it even funnier, but just highlights whats becomming a shit stain on players behaviour.

They are fucking lucky bastards.

Clash of heads between Newcastle players, play on, goal scored.

Couldn't see any of the ball that Alexander Arnold got but no penalty awarded.

The third goal, Mike fucking Dean should get an assist for that. The way he blocked the Newcastle players was unbelievable!
Dean for Dippers is the new Howard Webb for the Rags. on top of that Dippers 9 fouls, 1 card, Newcastle 4 fouls and 3 cards.

Klopp has made a strong statement today that people should get vaccinated and ignore the misinformation.

I despise the guy generally but he deserves credit for taking this unequivocal position given that he'll influence a lot of people.

Pep has made similar public statements.

There are too many football managers letting players play unvaccinated. It sends the wromg message to those that are influenced by footballers. And there are quite a lot of people in that category.

I know it won’t stop it happening but if the ref stopped play immediately for a potential head injury, then awarded the team in possession of the ball a free kick from where the possession is held, players would think twice about feigning injury, I know this allows the defending team to regroup but it may also create some interesting situations
In addition, the injured player, faking or not, to leave the field for 7 mins for concussion assessment.

Tell me about it, DeGea the daft bastard went down holding his ankle, as if that would work.

I sense that all the members here must have been out for their Christmas dinners, have had a great time and become very mellow...but quite frankly I am shocked. Disappointed, appalled even, virtually 3 pages and there seems to be a degree of mild approval (I wouldn't go as far as using the word "liking") for Klopp...and not one C bomb.

I think therefore I should bring things back to normality by "talking football".

That lovely man, Mr Michael Dean, what a fine example of the art of refereeing! Although he clearly does love himself and and loves being centre of attention I actually thought he did have a good game last night.
1st goal I think he did get it right but that was perhaps more due to his own ignorance. Very much in the realm of the De Gea incident a few weeks back but a very tricky call for him last night and all referees, as player safety has to come first. Alas, as we know this has been and will continue to be abused. Keepers have done it for ages and got away with it and now it is the head injuries that are being used to con refs
Trent's tackle. First time I saw it in real time I thought it was a pen, so I was actually surprised it wasn't given. Replays though show he did take the ball and hardly any contact (save a brush of shin/calf) with the man, so good call in my book.

Still a tight race and I still think Chelsea are in it. Although I could possibly see us going back to games with no fans.

Oh yes......It means more you know!
