Millions spent but cant put out a side.

Diddums.

What does that have to do with anything? What sort of side would City put out if you were missing about 10 first team players? We don't have an unlimited supply of players in the building - 7 starters either injured or isolating. Some of the backup players are now pretty much walking wounded themselves. It is what it is.

We’d crack on and get the job done.

That’s what champions do son.

Could do without the patronising tone. But anyway, forgive me if I don't believe a word of that. Pep wouldn't shut up about it and rightly so, and this forum would be up in arms and rightly so. Especially when other teams have their games postponed multiple times already.

What about the yoof set up?

If he knew how bad the situation was, why didn't he bring some of them

They U23 team had a covid outbreak of their own. I've read that the club has enforced separate bubbles to try and somewhat contain this thing.

What bit don’t you believe?? Pretty straightforward - MCFC crack on and win leagues and cups.

I agree to an extent, but there can only be sympathy with Covid, normal
injuries, that’s fair game.

Don’t think Chelsea should have had to play today based on pattern of cases. But which players were actually out with Covid?

If City had 10 first team players missing, yeah sure you'd turn up and play the games but there's no chance this place wouldn't be up in arms if other teams with similar outbreaks had multiple games postponed. Pep certainly wouldn't be happy about it either.

So at the moment, Chilwell, Lukaku, Werner, Havertz and CHO were the 5 initially out with covid. They mentioned 2 more cases today but they haven't said who yet, but rumours have it that it's Loftus-Cheek and someone else. That's 7 covid cases in the first team. On top the mini injury crisis we were already dealing with.

Think the main thing that pep as done with our squad is make sure everyone was vaccinated and made sure every player took it very seriously when out and about! Because one thing pep is is a big thinker regarding football and what could be coming down the road. Also if watch how he has managed our squad it’s been a masterpiece of management to get to this point now where we have just Ferran out and Walker is incredible at the most crucial time of the year and it’s not a one of he did the same last season which didn’t start well but we went on a 21 winning run that won us the league.

Pep a fcuking genius.

We don’t know who is and isn’t vaccinated.

We‘re fortunate not to be based in London. As always.

You couldn’t beat Wolves…you drop 2 points…and expect sympathy??
I think you may get a more appreciative audience on another forum…possibly a Chelsea one??

I'm not expecting sympathy. I'm having a discussion and explaining my opinion. I'm not particularly bothered about anyone's sympathy. We're just discussing Chelsea in a Chelsea thread.

Isn’t Chilwell out injured? so if it’s just the 4 confirmed, then i’d say it’s harsh but fair. If you have 2 more and they’ve contracted this last few days, then it’s daft you had to play.

Yeah I had no problem with us playing games earlier in the week when it was just 5. As you said, unfortunate, but thems the breaks. With two more cases this morning, taking the tally up to 7 first teamers, Chelsea requested postponement, which the PL rejected.

Yes, for me it’s not the numbers, it’s the pattern of infection. If say 4/5 test positive on the Monday then no more, crack on. If it’s 1 a day and the total is the same, then it should be off.

Playing today seems very harsh. Those points dropped will be hard to make up on us.

We now have a point advantage, a fully fit squad, and having played at Leicester, Swamp, the Bridge & Anfield already.

Any points we make up on you and Liverpool over Christmas will be key..

I agree that with so many out, your game should have been postponed today.

There is just no consistency, if as reported, the rags only had two players and two other members of staff, who tested positive.

I suppose it comes down to what colour your shirt is.
