Haha is it reallyThe atmosphere in SS3 is fine, thanks anyway.
Some blocks of seats up there were bought on the cheap by tout agencies, probably made their money back for the season selling to daytrippers v PSGI may disagree with you there.. there seems to be hundreds of seats in the SSL3 every match. Maybe not the same people every week but that can be said for the FS as well.
Yes it is...really.Haha is it really
Agree that a full vocal end is a great idea.. who was the genius who decided to bi secting the stadiums most vocal support by sticking 3 tiers of away fans in between. Why can’t they we shoved off to the top of a few tiers out of the way unless there are logistical reasons in the stadium why we can’t do this ?
Indeed! The NS1 wasn't the family stand for the first 10 seasons or so, and it wasn't really any better then was it?

on the money .Been saying this since the day it opened as the Family Stand. It was a terrible idea to create the stand in this form and it’s been a terrible stand for far too long now.
There was a much better feel to the stadium when it was just simply the North Stand and was just a load of old Maine Road Kippax and later North Stand lads who hadn’t realised that our singing area at the CoMS was meant to be the South Stand.
Fucking those fans off to create this bloody end we have now is the worst thing the club have done since we moved to that ground.
It’s only ever been full for end of season title lift games and the odd derby or Liverpool game. It’s never created an atmosphere for the second half of games when we’re shooting up that way.
It’s a lifeless soulless stand that needs ditching.
im perfectly happy there thank you. You dont punish all because of the no shows.
What is the fix then as 1 of the things the Club has done to encourage younger supporters is being talked about as being a problem and should be fucked off! It's every bloody stand. For years I've been telling anyone, who would care to listen, that our core match going support is nearing an extinction event as we age faster than any policy is put in place to replenish us! It's fast becoming a sports themed day car centre for thousands of geriatrics. Thank God those little blue cars that we used to spot around the pitch perimeter at Maine Rd in the 70's have done their day, otherwise match day would resemble an Invacar convention!
It's such an easy fix too for anyone in power who actually gives a f##k. Sadly however that person doesn't exist so it will never be solved. In short, if you can't see the problem you are unlikely to look to solve it.
There are a few things wrong (in my view) about how you are seeing things. Unless the North Stand is redeveloped (unlikely for many years I think) then NS2 will be the family stand. NS1 is already designated non family stand so the question is what could be done to make that a singing end. There is no prospect whatsoever of 'relocating' it into SS3 or anywhere else. What would need to be done is to put forward something whereby supporters could register their interest to move into it whilst offering those currently in NS1 preferential treatment to move with friends and family elsewhere in the stadium. That is easier said than done but it's the only way I could see it happening.People and families who were sat with each other for years in the North stand were moved out of the North stand and we’re punished to make way for the Family stand. The club forced them out of the North stand and moved them to different parts of the ground. The Club them moved some of those fans again so they could create more corporate areas. Those fans didn’t want to move from the North stand. They had little or no say in that happening.
In theory a family stand is the right and a great idea. There should always be a place at the Etihad for the kids who are City’s future support. But the club got the Family stand wrong, and went about it the wrong way, and now they are stuck with a dilemma of where to relocate the family stand, if that is true?
What is the fix then as 1 of the things the Club has done to encourage younger supporters is being talked about as being a problem and should be fucked off!
I'm gonna stand up for 109 in the East Stand as we do give it a go. Thankfully the stewards are fine with standing in that section but beyond that where staying seated is more enforced it's much quieter. The south stand is the only stand that makes any effort! If every other stand was as vocal we’d have the best atmosphere in England! The problem is that 3/4s of our ground are silent and the worst of those 3 is the family stand.
Accessibility and Pricing, it's a simple as that. Accessibility should be via a dedicated window system at the North Stand Ticket Office, that for a sum of £20 should issue anyone from 12 to 17 a paper ticket to gain entry into that North Stand lower tier. The club should also encourage some fans in their 20's and 30's to be mentors and also stand in that area to oversee singing, banners and behaviour etc. Those who get moved out fill the gaps elsewhere. What is the fix then as 1 of the things the Club has done to encourage younger supporters is being talked about as being a problem and should be fucked off!
