Erling Haaland

A real pic of him at a real airport. Not doing much for me.

Pep saying no striker in January to me is just to stop getting the questions. Likely won't be easy or even possible to get this over the line and no one wants questions all month long. But my money is we're in negotiations right now and we've been in contact for quite some time.

I do think he ends up at City in January. Barca/ Madrid, La Liga only is a load of it... He's been on record many times saying how much he likes the EPL. His house is also in Marbella, Spain. On the coast. Don't think he's planning on commuting from there to Madrid every day.

Hard to imagine Torres sold, Mahrez off to African cup and us not bringing in another body. We're too ambitious.

The Haaland looked-to-be goodbyes. He's a massive City fan. To me, this is as much of a nailed-on thing as Mbappe is to Madrid. Only thing that could mess it up is Raiola.

I did enjoy reading this.

More like Brenda Rodgers, then everyone would be wetting themselves (with laughter)
Actually just heard something about Ten Hag that I’m posting in the “Next Manager After Pep” thread

What is it?
Tried posting the link via a twitter post. It's actually a United spin off of his dad's quotes. But some more from Alfie:

"He was a Leeds fan and a [Manchester] City fan and a Nottingham Forest fan. He followed me but that's what you do in your youth," Haaland senior told talkSPORT.

"There's a difference between being a supporter and having it as a job.

"I think at one stage he would like to play in the Premier League. When that's going to happen, I don't know. It's a very tough league.

"Up to now he's ahead of the stage we thought he would be at. He's built for the Premier League at one stage, I think. Whether that happens now or at a later stage, we don't know." - 2019, same interview as twitter post

It's almost like his Dad thinks he isn't good enough yet?

I'm becoming less concerned about United this summer because they look quite at risk of dropping out of top 4. Arsenal and Spurs are both ahead of them with no European games to put pressure on their squads now. United not looking a happy camp. Personally I expect that Conte will secure 4th for Spurs.

That would leave Real Madrid and City, with Madrid seemingly preferring a 2023 move. I still think that's more likely than a move to City but things do seem to be lining up quite nicely.

You shouldn't have been worrying about United at all.

They are shit. Have like 5 strikers. And they ruined his dad's career, the 2 teams he followed City and Leeds are not close to United I'll just say.

I feel like this United thing popped up because Ole coached him at Molde. Well he's gone, and that link was never enough anyways.

Basically... don't worry about United he won't go there.

Madrid though, that's possible. Still think we edge them though. It's a perfect match.

Don't forget that ANY super star in the world HAS to be connected to united. It's an unwritten law in the media that united are still big, relevent and can attract anyone and everyone.

In reality they're fucking shit and if he really is entertaining an offer from them I can guarantee it'd be for an amount of money that is incomprehensible to us

If Dortmund were to get a premium over the rumoured summer buy out clause, would they not take it?

Same goes with the family and fat Italian agent, money talks.

That's one side of the question.

Would we offer it is the other.

Depends on the size/amount of premium as well.

I still can't really see it happening, myself.

It's amazing how they keep propping them up and are ignoring the fact they haven't really been competition since that fat C*nt left

Why is it hard for people to imagine that we'll let a player go without bringing a replacement?

Kompany, aguero

I hope Haaland isn't wasting our time.

If he want to join City then I am sure Khaldoon will bring him, if not and he see City as his plan B or C then just move to the next target.

I think striker role is over rated anyway, City don't have striker yet no club scored more goals in England so far this season than City.

Most goals in Europe so far :

50 goals for City & Liverpool

41 goals for Real Madrid

49 goals for Inter

56 goals for Bayern Munich

39 goals for Paris

The timing of letting Torres go is a strange one for me, end of the season no issue, but half way through a season you don't weaken a squad, however good our squad is.
