It's happening all over Europe. Criminals are targeting footballers for obvious reasons.
 
Scum of the earth,but this has become a common theme,more so when the players are away as in matches or European games ..wouldn’t blame him if he decided he wanted out and away,but that’s no guarantee anyhow of it not happening somewhere else..
 
Terrifying for Joao and his family. Praise the gods that he only copped that gash, but its going to take a while to deal with it psychologically.

He’s come from Juventus, where I can recall at least three of their players having similar experiences in recent years. Doubt this will make him want to leave City.

It was one of the reasons Di Maria never settled in Manchester. Definitely happens everywhere, but I can understand wanting to move to another city if it does happen.
 
Scum. Subhuman scum. Hope they're found and smashed to pieces before turned into the police.

It's obviously not nice but all things considered Joaos a lucky lad to escape with what appears to be superficial damage, Ive seen much worse.

As somebody else said, this type of thing can make people want to leave, I know it can happen anywhere but it's happened to him, here. wouldn't be unreasonable to want to get away.

Joao and his family are being supported by the Club and he is helping the police with their enquiries as they investigate this very serious matter. (2/2)

I don’t know Ric until something like this actually happens to you in person as in being in your house/apartment when these scumbags attack,thankfully I’ve never experienced anything like this,hopefully the police will catch the scumbags and am absolutely certain City will be doing everything in their power to up security for Joao and his family ..
