I sometimes cheer myself up after a morning of doomscrolling the news by popping over to the caf. This thread caught my eye because there’s some genuine analysis and soul-searching in there. Some of the posts could easily have appeared here.

Dont get me wrong, I’m loving this but it shows at least some of our raggy cousins are capable of rational thought. RAWK, not so much.

To paraphrase the great sage of our times Howson:

is woody attempting to recreate the legendary City side 96-97?
For Bradbury we have Ronaldo, for Creaney we have Cavani….

the similarity echos of City’s time stumbling around since the 2nd appointment of Allison and the incompetent hand at the tiller that was Swales… are stark.

this season is a shitshow (in relative terms) for them … but there is nothing, absolutely nothing, on the horizon that indicates that there is any other trajectory other than downwards.

Only watched it because I'm isolating and stuck in my bedroom with no TV. Got my tablet for company so watched on prime, absolute load of shite both those teams. Utd wouldn't have beaten any other team playing like that, ok maybe Norwich, but there's no football played. Miles away from us, absolutely miles
I wonder how many anti-vaccers there'd be if the government forced them to watch utd while isolating?

I agree that he is most likely very hard to work with but if he was in a decent squad, under a strong manager and all he had to do was wallow in the glory of scoring a shitload of goals with the minimum of effort, he'd be much easier to handle.

I'm glad we never got to try it but I bet Ronaldo at City would not have been poisonous at all. People might have likened him to the likes of Lampard or Vieira and having a future as a great manager ahead.
He disrespect the fans, he moans at team mates when they get it wrong, he doesn't press like his team mates they do the work whilst he gets the goals..... Recipe for disaster. But his cult followers won't see all that which is why it will continue and rangnick can't do anything, he has to play him, he has to work with that. "keep him happy and he wouldn't be a problem" is far from how City do things, our players work hard when things are impossible, they help each other... Ronaldo doesn't.

That's the worst wall for a free kick, I've ever seen.
At least the Face seems up for it, or is he auditioning for the part of Zebedee in The Magic Roundabout?

WOW....look at the body language ! They look defeated walking out. Shaw especially
Thinking exactly the same
