Problem is how to get rid of tattoo, first it was isco but erased with kaka on top with a small font size rossi . Guess I have to live with champion on top of halland .
I wear all my failed tattoos with pride. Along side my Manchester City Champions League 2021 finalists Istanbul T shirt, that I’d purchased the day before they changed it to Lisbon.

No, we wouldn’t, if he came to us, and if he really only intended to stay a few years and move on, the most likely is he stays for his contract and moves for nothing. Unless we could persuade him to extend.
The only player who's done that to us is James Milner, an aging and average footballer.

We wouldn't allow it to happen with Haaland.

If he refused to sign an extension, what could we do?

Saying that,if Raiola was still involved,he'd make sure we got a fee,so he'd get a slice.

its simple I don't want anyone here who does not see a long term future at the club. Even if Haaland comes here and in a year say if Real wants to replace Benzema and give him a call do you think he will stay here? no he will want to jump ship in no time. We don't need those kind of players here. I would rather take someone one step below but who is more committed.
With respect, you have absolutely no idea what Haaland thinks or how he would react, you are basing all this on what you have read in the papers with few, if any, quotes from the man himself. He did not force a move last summer when he could have if he wanted to, so not sure why you assume he would this time (if he signed for us), being at a considerably better club. If he comes and like it here, he will probably stay. If he doesnt, he wont. Like all players we sign.

Well lets say he signs for 5 years and gets to year 4 without extending, who is going to pay £200 mill, when he’s free 12 months later?
I’m not saying he will, I’m not saying we shouldn’t sign him if we can. Not saying we couldn’t get him to extend. Nobody knows. Just saying, if he did decide to move on instead of extending doubt there will be any big profit, but I also don’t think we’d struggle to get our money back or make a small profit.

Honestly, I really would not be all that worried about that if we sign him.

Unlike a lot of other clubs, city has a knack for being able to keep and retain players for long periods. There are the odd exceptions, but that is normally down to players wanting to go play at home, which I don't think will be an issue for Haaland

The only 2 players I can think of that we lost, that we wanted to keep are Sane and Torres, we tend to be able to retain our star players. The issue will be getting Haaland through the door.

So we still have no idea what’s happening or where he’ll end up.
He’s keeping his options open from what I can tell, rightly so, so he’s a ****, it’s a circus, don’t want him, steer clear etc.. (not from everyone)
From the outside that looks like exactly what Vlahovic is doing, yet it seems Haaland is in the wrong but Vlahovic isn’t.
I’ve seen nothing from Haaland that makes me think he’s a big time Charlie, a troublemaker etc, he needs some arrogance to be the best player in the world, but from what I’ve seen it’s nothing out of the ordinary.

It’s a done deal to us , has been for months , we was hopeful of getting it wrapped up for this January but to keep all parties happy it’s now looking inevitable that we will have to wait till summer , the media will make a big scene of the wages he will get paid , but he’s worth every penny, plus we’ve offloaded players in the last 18 months to fund him and his wages.
thats the info we are seeking. But now the noise is all coming out from spain. Either barca or madrid are signing him.

He also has some big misses and batshit crazy transfer posts that didn't happen.
I'd love to think the information was in good faith, I'd be far more civilised if that was the case but alas, I'm of the opinion he's a chancer.
I'll refrain from putting money on it just like I've refrained from putting money on anything else ever at the bookies.
I think my idea of enjoying a ride differs quite spectacularly from others it seems.
we are here talking about speculations and the most likely scenario mate. If you want definite news then better not to come to transfer forum. Thats what this forum is for. for speculations.

Thanks for the advice, blue but I'm pretty sure I've got the hang of this place now.

I think the quietness at City tells another story. City would've briefed the press by now if they knew we did not have a shot at him and he was off to Spain.

We have heard from Spain for the past three or four years, that each summer they are going to splash the cash, and with the exception of Hazard in 2019, neither of the two big clubs really have. Madrid is hardly getting the interest rates from the banks that they once did and need to pay off the renovations at the Bernabeu, and Barca cannot afford him regardless of what Laporta says. If anything this looks like a statement to get the fans back excited about the club until the summer when they miss out on the CL and have no cash to spend.

These reports from Spain sound more like conjecture more than anything. I don't think any decision has been made.

I read the Marca story this is referring to and it never explains where they got the information about this said deadline.
But it should also be noted that it also doesn’t say Madrid and Barcelona are the “favorite clubs” as the tweet insinuates. Here’s what it says:
“The striker has been enjoying the time off granted by the winter break in Germany by holidaying in Marbella, which has got some people talking about a move to Spain and put Barcelona and Real Madrid on alert. Both clubs will be making moves to try and lure the hot prospect to the Camp Nou and Estadio Santiago Bernabeu respectively, but they aren't the only teams in the race.”

You’re on the right path, but I would also add that we don’t have the local media on our side to be making similar noise, unlike the Madrid and Barcelona propaganda newspapers. Imagine if United had a real shot...
