City & FFP | 2020/21 Accounts released | Revenues of £569.8m, £2.4m profit (p 2395)

GPC's original quote wasn't referencing City overtaking United like we have done but was his answer to a reporter's question whether City would ever start a derby as favourites. Which makes his comment even more fucking ridiculous.
Just shows the arrogance of the bacon faced twat. They were the kings, they would always be the kings, we were paupers who would just throw money at it without success. Raspberry and Vanilla for me when the day comes.

The irony is the rags have thrown money at it 1.4b and what’s it got them an fa cup a league cup and European cup which for most clubs is good haul but for the proclaimed biggest bestest club ever it’s a shocking return! We all know though the scum are a midtable club history backs it up.

The c*nts can't write a positive headline about City without having a sly dig. It's a continual war of attrition against City.

What has Ferguson and the noisy neighbours got to do with the article?

Charlie Walker - the Daily United.

Exactly this. It was ahead of the 4-3 derby defeat in 2009-10. Somewhat hilariously, we only had to wait 4 months as we were the bookies favourites to win the first leg of the League Cup semi in January 2010!
