Net was circa £40 m this summer & circa £75m 20/21. How have they got to £250m net spend??

Exactly this. It was ahead of the 4-3 derby defeat in 2009-10. Somewhat hilariously, we only had to wait 4 months as we were the bookies favourites to win the first leg of the League Cup semi in January 2010!
