Root wicket was just one of those things, can't do anything about that bounce (or total lack of).

Probably for the best England dont salvage anything, dont want any cracks papering over, they need to really look at themselves.

Root incredibly unlucky, Crawley got a decent ball albeit bad foot movement the rest just pitiful

Did cross my mind that as well mate. Need changes and if we win this I would be concerned the ecb would use it as an excuse to keep silverwood and Giles

i mean it would be amazing if Pope and Bilings blazed a 100 partnership and put the game on a knife edge, if just for the travelling supporters and for Billings (as i think he might be a good little player) but ultimately nothing should detract from the mess that this tour has been.

Billings was immediately identified as a white ball player only , does he ever play red ball for Kent.?
Pretty sure billings is the captain for Kent. Think he averages over 40 away from Canterbury (which is seen as a bowler friendly wicket ) so I think he can play a bit.

Either way if he wasn’t already in Australia obviously he wouldn’t have had this opportunit. Seems a likeable guy hope he can get some runs and take his chance

Well that didn’t age well did it. Guess Bairstow will get the gloves in the West Indies

I feel sorry for Dan Lawrence. He can’t have fared any worse than most of our other batsmen.
Hope he gets a chance against The West Indies. Imagine he will come in for malan who will probably stay home to be with his new baby

Tough for batting under the lights has it has been for both teams but the Aussies just bet better.

I predict everyone of these England batters will play again for England unless they retire from test cricket.

Forget business class, stick them in economy with the screaming kids for the 18 hour flight home.

there's a certain irony that England, now criticized as a nation that prioritizes short form, can't last 50 overs :D
