I don't think pep should put 8 youngsters tomorrow, but seeing Palmer or McAtee getting some minutes would be nice.
Palmer may not be fit. McAtee is not going to suddenly push Sterling, Foden, Grealish, Gundogan, Jesus etc out of a place just to get him a few mins against a difficult opponent in an important league game

It’s relaxing to know there will be a starting 11 that can do the job. We seem to cope best when we miss a few players. Either bring someone in equally good or someone plays out of position and still performs because he knows what is expected from him.

So other than Ederson I don’t really mind who starts. Or what starting 11 Pep puts out.

Southampton are a good side. Always tricky to play. Although we seem to have more trouble at home. But I simply can’t see us dropping points. Won’t be easy either. But that’s Premier League for you.

Loss. Lfc win. Race back on. Really worried we're not as busy for the time of year and like they said in a podcast its all about rhythm at this time.
On the other hand, If you look at this weekends fixtures, the dippers have a harder game on paper, so if we win the pressure is cranked up on them to get a result.

I'm not worried about our rhythm, i think because we haven't had the distraction of the League Cup, has helped us this season. We've had another full week off, which gives injured/covid players the chance to get healthy and i think we've been playing well.
I expect Pep to keep them on their toes also, so i don't expect any drop-off.

Soft spot for Southampton here. My home town and I do have fond memories of my Grandad taking me to a game or two at the Dell. In later years I took my Dad to hospitality at St Mary's a couple of times, he loved it. I still put Le Tissier up there with the greats, of course he wasn't really but he did score some wonderful goals.

My (rich) uncle lived next door to Mick Channon out in the countryside.

Still hope we stick six past them... Razza hat-trick, Kev, Phil and Rodders.

Whilst I get the anxiety, I would argue that 12 consecutive league wins is pretty decent as far as rhythm is concerned.
