Not entirely true. His agent Jorge Mendes continues to try and concoct deals to bring him to us.
He was floating Bernie swap last summer but we weren't having it.

I think this one looks all of a sudden more likely and if it is the case i REALLY hope it doesnt include bernardo in any deal!

I do fear if Bernie does wish to call time this summer (he seems happy enough) that Felix might be flagged up again.

He did say on the podcast Laporte is the one to look out for this summer in terms of leaving. Apparently Laporte really wants to play in Spain but he's happy here but if a big Spanish team comes in he thinks he would move.

I’m a big fan of Laporte - he’s had his downs this season but I love how assured he is. And he’s a threat from set pieces. But then so is Stones.
My love for FDJ May take precedent there, though. Proper Rolls Royce.

my only thinking is Laporte has seemingly wanted away for a couple of seasons now and he certainly cant fault his playing time this season but maybe it is just about going back home? You dont really want an unhappy player in the squad for too long so maybe it would be best if a deal for de jong could be done?

It's a massive drop in quality to lose Laporte and not replace him. I like Ake but he's nowhere near that level and Mbete is only young. Unless you're a young Catalan threatening to leave then you don't get starts too often as a youngster in this team for a couple of years.
