TV Series

Finished the latest/last(?) Dexter series.

It was surprisingly good up until the final 15 minutes. The ending felt very rushed and it was not a satisfying conclusion (assuming it is the end) to what’s an excellent show.

Clancy Brown (Mr Krabs and Byron Hadley) steals the show as the primary antagonist.

I felt the ending was chaotic and rushed , the opposite of dexter in fact

Anyone else really impressed with Martin Freemans Scouse accent in The Responder
A scouse accent can never be described as such.

I am impressed with his ability to portray such a different character to his usual though, even if the programme isnt great.

Just watched the first series of Manhunt with Martin Clunes as the DCI. I thought it was really good, some good insight into the absolute bloody mindedness of dedicated coppers to just not give up on a case, and the comparison between that type of cop and the ones that were just doubters. Really good and well worth a watch, Clunes plays the part really well, 8/10

Star Trek: Picard back March 3rd....did anyone actually enjoy the first season???

Thought it was a load of shit myself, like a Next Generation reunion tour.
Quite enjoyed it, although Patrick Stewart is looking his age, unless he is acting older of course? That just occurred to me:)

Got around to watching stay close. Nothing special but wouldn't say it was shit as others have said. Guessed the main reveal with who it was but didn't predict the final twist.

Come back to me with your opinion on the ending , i am interested in somebody elses view
Finished it last night and mixed emotions on it really. As a series I enjoyed it and I’ll always love Dexter and it actually had an actual ending that really puts the series to bed forever.

However
I didn’t like how they turned dexter into the baddy at the end. I know he was a serial killer, but he was always the loveable rogue who did it for the right reasons. Him killing the cop at the end just felt like a sad way for him to go put on.

Overall very enjoyable and different from the previous ones with Harrison being introduced and his dark passenger. Just a little disappointed that the last memory of dexter was that.

We just finished it last night too. I was satisfied (I suppose is the right word) with the way it ended, I suppose the chickens always had to come home to roost sometime.

I really appreciate that they went for it this season and put (for me) a lot of the shit memories from seasons 5 onwards in the background. I dont think the show ever got any better than S4, what glorious telly that was.

Yeah totally agree. Those first 4 series were brilliant and up there with the best series I’ve watched of any show. As for this one you sum it up well as satisfying. It could never be a happy ending and live up to those early series, but it was very watchable and put a finish to it all.

I, Sniper. Such a sad documentary. So many lives destroyed. The shooter spared the death penalty, although I don’t agree with the death penalty, I can see why people do. He was only 13/14 when he came under the control of Muhammad and today you would probably call it grooming and maybe that is why he was spared.

I thought as soon as Debra sussed him out the series seemed to nosedive into the ridiculous. I agree upto season 4 it was great

I put it the last episode of Dexter New Blood for a few days just because when they decided make it, it was to give the fans a “proper Ending”

Well watched it and thought it was near on perfect ending.

Always surprises me when rival camorristas in Gamorrah can't find each other in Naples.

They clearly all go to the same barber.

Maybe that's the point. They can't tell each other apart.

Any fans of Gomorrah watched Suburra? Had a recommendation from an Italian mate
