That's because it's the only way they can move these players off the books. Who was the last player United bought who increased in value when they sold him, the only one I can think of is Ronaldo in 2009. They certainly won't get their money back on the Fridge, Shaw, Wan Bissaka, Fred, Pogba or even Sancho.
People moan about Tixi but both the Sane and Torres deals made a profit and apart from Grealish, which wouldn't be all his fault, we would, at least, break even on the majority of our current squad.

Almost forgotten that one. Cup final against Forest wasn't It? All the world watching him do those tackles. He did and does have real medical problems unlike at those who seem to follow a fashion nowadays.
He wasn't so mental as to try tackles like that Piercey on the other flank.

Glynn Pardoe was lucky he didn't have to have his leg amputated after the drunken shit fouled him. He was out injured for 2 years and was never the same.

Martial was in 2015 when he was 19! That £50 million must be £100 million in todays fees.
 
MEN did an article today about the relative values of the City, Utd and Liverpool squads

Utds has dropped considerably Vs the purchase price

Liverpool's squad is worth virtually the same

City's has increased 25%

City's recruitment has been top notch
Players should soon start to see Utd as a place where careers die
 
My nephew is so feed up of the dire shit united are playing that he has started going to watch Stockport County. He was the black sheep of the family because he supported united and went home and away.

A good lad despite his obvious lack of judgement but obviously this didn`t stop me taking the piss without mercy.

I find it strange that they are looking at loaning out so may players who would be fighting for a starting place or a spot on the bench.
Martial, DeBeek, Jones, the young lad that was being hyped up and now they have Greenwood who is unlikely to be featuring for the forseeable future.

It makes you wonder if there is something behind the scenes that we are not hearing about,
