Sporting CP (A) - Post-Match Thread

Love games like that. A wonderful team performance by everyone for whom pretty much everything came off.
Won’t always be like this. Have to enjoy it while it lasts.
With a bit of luck old big ears is on its way.

Is Gary Lineker popping over for a celebration bag of crisps and blow job?

Question: what's the highest you have ever watched City ?
Me: 50,000 feet above the Indian Ocean !! Sydney to Abu Dhabi and saw all the master class on Sport 24 TV.

It’s not, they were quiet for the whole match then suddenly burst into life on about 85mins.
It was a bit odd. Police were cunts as well.
Sounded loud enough at the beginning then the 2 quick goals kind of got to them which is expected. Then they were great towards the end. Our away fans were excellent as well.

We seem to have this tendency to continually knock every set of fans we come up against. So and so we're a weird lot, they were singing shite, nasty fuckers etc.....

Like our ground is the ultimate in atmosphere and well behaved fans. Least they stayed to the end and made a racket whilst seeing their team get stuffed.

Wonderful performance from the boys. I thought De Bruyne and Cancelo were the only two a bit hit and miss throughout but both had moments of class leading to goals. Hard to complain. On to Spurs!

I had a space cake before a night game at home against Chelsea one time and it proper kicked in at HT. 2nd half It was an absolutely amazing experience to be in the midst of 50000 people yet floatiing around in my own little world. I remember being mesmerised by Joe Cole, he had a brilliant game.

Pep “some players underperformed and some lost too much the ball, first half”

Again, the standards of this football club are outstanding!

But, he said this after the Southampton draw.

“Outstanding game, we played really well - it was one of the best performances of the season,”

Magnificent, this team is getting better and better which is a freighting thought for out opponent's.

And I believe him rather than your knowledge of how to judge a match.

Having said that, if you really spend time analyzing tactics, strategies, player performance, what each player needs to do in their position, what's the target of each match, then I may believe what you said.

It is depending on if our player finishes their chances and Pep is adamant that he rather his team win the match the right way ie their build up phases leading to goal is very good than win a lucky match because opponent making more mistake than we do.

That's why Pep also saying back then when we win against Arsenal in their home, eventhough we win in that match we didn't play really good compared to Southampton match even if we didn't win, we play the right way we just didn't get lucky to be clinical enough to get the goal

Bulding up phase is the key whenever he rates our team performance.

Loser ! Have it on good authority William Shatner has a recording of Kompany’s goal v Leicester and watched on his recent Blue Origin flight.

PS : Commercial flights don’t fly higher than 42,000 feet, and most stick around +/- 35,000.
