Putin is not Russia -it’s not the USSR we are talking about here. I doubt the ordinary folk in Rostov/Voronezh/Yakutsk etc would support a War and Putin is fully aware it could bring him down. Thus I don’t see it happening.

Didn't need to be much of an expert to spot that. Dismembering the Ukraine is one thing, pissing off Chairman Xi, one of your few "friends" who doesn't want anything to distract from the Chinese propaganda "Triumph" of the Winter Olympics is another thing entirely.
