You honestly think Putin is going to stop at Ukraine, given his maniacal rant a few days ago where he was talking about the Russian Empire, how it was a mistake to let national republics leave the USSR?

I believe he shouldn’t have either felt the need nor had the option to do this to the Ukraine. But that’s in the past, I’ve formed my opinion and voiced it.

NATO aren’t going to do anything are they… other than defend NATO countries, Putin isn’t going to do declare war on NATO, it’s suicide. He might go into Georgia and other former soviet (non NATO) countries if they express a desire to join NATO though.

He was a very clever streetwise chap who would previously only have done something like this if the outcome was guaranteed.
I fear he may have seriously misjudged the will of the Ukrainian people to resist, as well as the "DIsunity" of the West which under a clear and present danger generally vanishes. This will have serious consequences for Russia and the West.

Little chance when media is nothing but a propoganda wing for Putin and any dissidents are imprisoned. Gaslighting the populace is taken to even more extremes in Russia. Most will believe that the West and Ukraine are the aggressor.
