Russian invasion of Ukraine

I'm intrigued what would happen functionally to Chelsea if Abramovich's assets were frozen, including the club.

Presumably they would just keep on trucking along but with no option to have him inject cash? Who would make ownership decisions?

Russia does not have the capacity to launch a full scale attack all over Eastern Europe, for now I think the intention will be to get Ukraine captured and under control.

They need to take this **** out, it's the only way this will end. They have a legitimate reason to do it now.

I would imagine no fucks would be given by Putin. Who's going to hold him accountable? I'm sure he's not worried about Boris and his raft of measures!
 
Everybody has been making threats if Russia invades, well they've invaded, its time to show your hand and prove you wasn't bluffing. Putin is a lunatic that clearly doesn't care and is most likely banking on the West not having the bottle to back up their threats. you have to go in hard on the Russian public, getting them to turn on him is the only way to end this before it gets catastrophic. Cut them out of everything, cut them off from the rest of the world entirely. the rest of the world stand to lose a lot of money and resources doing so but you have to take a hit in the short term. Make it a condition of relaxing bans and sanctions that all debt remains once the lunatic has gone.

Doubt it has the capacity to even do that. Ukraine is a large country of 45 million people, the majority of which will be hostile.

Current strength of Ukrainian armed forces is around 200k and it has a large military and industrial complex. The Russians have superior forces in total, but those currently committed are probably not enough to overrun and subdue the entire country.

Equally, I could be wrong, but that is the thing about military conflict, you are in control until the fighting starts and then everything invariably goes to shit.

Also the Ukrainians are fighting for something, the average Russian soldier not so much and that in the long run counts.
 
I wonder if there is much shagging going off in Ukraine today ?- sort of this could be our last day on earth type stuff. I always think there's potential for loads of shagging in war zones, albeit impending death per se may not be a great afrodisiac.
