Sir Tom's?
Lol, maybe not that one right now
Sir Tom's?
Agreed. Stronger than I thought he would, let's hope they carry it out.
He's connected to (friends?) with the Oligarch, Lebedev, so I'm suspicious.
Needs to also stop the lobbying (bribing) of Conservative politicians by people linked to Russia. Needs to ban the group Conservative friends of Russia.
Been working all day and found it difficult to keep up with such a fast-moving thread. Just going out to the shop now. I've been cutting back on the booze of late but could really do with a drink tonight. Will be back later, but before I head off, here's something that really sums up Russia today.
It's an old woman in St Petersburg holding up her homemade anti-War, pro-Ukraine placard and being arrested by the police.
Here's my translation of the Tweet into English:
So here's a woman who's around 80 or maybe a little older, who was in the city when it was encircled by the Nazis for 1,000 days and held out, arrested by a bunch of fascist goons for going out onto the street with an anti-war sign. Welcome to Putin's Russia.

That's the spirit.Think his Yacht (cruise liner) is still moored down in Vilamoura marina, was going to go down after work and chuck a few eggs at it to see if I could shift the dynamics of this war.
:-)Think you need to read my post again

Once you watch it, you will understand what is happening and what is going to happen.
Yes you do…I don't believe that.
:)
Telling there about SWIFT, that we need consensus which we don’t have. Anyway completely removing banks from UK financial system is almost as good from our point of view.
I fear there will be loopholes for them.
He talked shit, but that's what I expect from a rational realist. One of those academics that Putin is using in shaping his 'comeback' policy towards the West.Seen this before , and other videos of this guy . He's a voice in the wilderness but should be listened to .
I would imagine that they would have had an inkling that it wasn't going to be a cat stuck up a tree type story given how this has been fomenting fo a while now, nonetheless, brave individuals. Not a job I'd volunteer for.they were told to go to the airport to cover something or anything, then a bunch of heavily armed paratroopers dropped on their heads, i bet they shit their pants , you can imagine them looking up think OM fucking god
Listening to JO’B this morning a professor of Russian politics specialist subject Putin said almost exactly that. He thought 1) it was a surprising move with no logic from the Russian perspective 2) he listed all the challenges you list 3) difficult to see how he draws back from it. It will generate massively increased NATO forces in Eastern Europe which is the opposite of what Putin wants.I am just truly shocked they actually invaded. It's irrational.
Russia has spent years destabilizing and fracturing the west, quite successfully. They've already got their warm water port.
Now, suddenly, they've made themselves almost universally the bad guys and reunited the west against them. Their own people are against this. Their economy will be fucked even with China's backing, if they have it. What do they have to gain? Seriously, what am I missing?
