Russian invasion of Ukraine

When did I say they didn’t happen exactly?

Edit- the president fled to Russia in February 2014, the elections you’re talking about were in May 2014.

What I said was he didn’t lose an election, protestors took the government buildings and he fled.

3 months later they had an election, which was after Crimea was annexed.

Erm, earlier

Well there was no vote, the protestors had most of the government buildings and the Ukrainian prime minster fled to Russia. 6 days later, the Russians, who were already leasing Crimea annexed it after a vote.

So pretty much everything you said, as usual.

Marseille 2016 was a little pre cursor of now. We are harder than you etc. A load of fat Russian twats in luminous trunks took middle class English by surprise. Part of the overall plan.

Volodymyr Zelenskiy has come out on telly tonight and basically said thanks for nothing to the rest of the world

The UK sent 100 anti tank weapons a month ago, that’s it as far as I’ve read. The US sent some too not sure what, both said they were sending more on the 22nd, I think that’s why the sudden invasion happened.

I’m pretty sure Kiev will be surrounded in a few days, the Russian army is about ten times the size in raw numbers.

  • 200,000 active personnel
  • 2,596 tanks
  • 12,303 armoured vehicles
  • 318 total aircraft
  • 69 fighter aircraft
  • 34 attack helicopters
  • 38 naval fleet
  • 1 frigate

  • 850,000 active personnel
  • 12,420 tanks
  • 30,122 armoured vehicles
  • 4,173 total aircraft
  • 772 fighter aircraft
  • 544 attack helicopters
  • 605 naval fleet
  • 11 frigates
  • 15 destroyers

Sorry, you think the entire Russian army is in Ukraine? You think it's actually remotely possible Russia sends its entire military into Ukraine?

Which is entirely besides the point because there are 7 million between 16-49 in Ukraine. Thats who you're fighting in an insurgency, not 200,000 active personnel before the invasion or the 200,000 thousand reservists you didn't mention.

You seem to have this bizarre idea that Russia is going to walk into Kyiv and 40 million Ukrainians will say "Oh well we tried for a few days". That's not how invasion works.

I didn't like the movie 'Don't Look Up,' but they had a point about the ridiculousness of celebrity, click-bait tv and social media, especially when it comes to a crisis.
It’s a great movie and that was the entire point of it.

The problem with non stop media nowadays is that you don’t know what to believe anymore.

I see Macron has been on the phone again to his mate Putin.

Phew, we’ll that’ll sort it. Emmanuel Chamberlain has been on the phone, millions of Ukrainians can breathe a sigh of relief.

As if a psycho like Putin gives a fuck what the cheesemonger thinks or says.

There’s only one way to deal with psychotic dictators like that, and it’s a bullet in the head.

Zelensky tells Ukrainians that saboteurs have entered Kyiv and urges residents of the city to abide by the curfew. He says he is enemy number 1 for Russia and they are out to kill him as Ukraine's head of state.

Zelensky is doing his best in this announcement to put on a brave face. He says he has asked 27 NATO countries to come to Ukraine's aid but they are all afraid. But he says, "We are not afraid. We are not afraid of anything."
