I believe that is the right course of action but you can't do that overnight. You can't instantly stop relying on natural gas as a energy supply, it will take years, decades infact to wean countries off gas, and secondly you can't just change supplier. There are no pipelines from the middle east into Europe and the only other way is to bring it in via tankers, that requires extra terminals for them to dock, again this will take time (several years minimum) to build the extra required infrastructure.
 
Would not surprise me to see the Russian military throw the kitchen sink at this today and look to get it over and done with.

Think the last 24 hours were just probing defences.

You are of course correct. London is the world centre for laundering and stashing the illicit Russian money. We have actively attracted Putins henchmen under the golden passport scheme which was withdrawn, erm, a week ago by Patel. Words are very cheap. For those that believe there is no connection between what has happened this week and the part London financial markets and the Tory party have played to help create a ruling despotic elite in Russia then sorry, you are just wrong.

Honestly it’s ridiculous, what are the west going to do if Russia say “your economic sanctions are hurting us so badly we’re going to start selling nuclear weapons to Iran and Afghanistan”?

For what? The US could have put a naval base in Sevastopol after the Ukraine joined NATO. Did the US honestly think the Russians would let them have what’s been their naval base for 200 years without a fight?

The difference is, most on here think this about Ukraine joining Europe, and I think it’s about Russian security and politics.

I have had to Google RT I thought it was something to do with twitter. I generally use Wiki for my information as I find it’s more balanced and if it’s live, the BBC as I find that the best out of a bad bunch.

So now that energy prices are sky high you want to get rid of green energy that is currently supplying 35% of our energy. You haven’t really thought it through have you?
