Russian invasion of Ukraine

The UK, USA and Canada leading the way with real sanctions (demanding the removal of Russia's access to SWIFT) but the EU are holding it back. Such a cowardly and bureaucratic organisation. We've allowed Russia to get its tentacles firmly gripped on Europe and a sovereign nation will disappear as a result.

No that was the US and UK and the first ime round France and the Gulf states.
So NATO countries attack as an independent and defend as an alliance? How does that make any difference to what was said.

Whether you believe them or not, and that’s a big if, Russia have said they aren’t planning on controlling Ukraine. Looks to me like a regime change which is exactly what Iraq was.

You think one are the goodies and one are the baddies, I think they’re both the baddies.

it is easy to say that but it is not you that is going without heating in the winter. Or being left without the means to cook food.
They will need to find an alternative energy source and that will take a while.
It will. But if they hadn't shut down the vast majority of their nuclear reactors then they might have had an alternative...

Hahaha they also said they were going in to 'peacekeep' in Luhansk and Donetsk and the moment everyone went to sleep they bombed every major city in Ukraine and are currently storming towards Kyiv.

If you believe a word Russia/Putin says then you are gullible.

“The March 2003 campaign against Iraq was conducted by a coalition of forces from different countries, some of which were NATO member countries and some were not. NATO as an organization had no role in the decision to undertake the campaign or to conduct it.”

Of the 48 countries involved on the USA-UK-Australia-Poland-Kurdistan side, 12 of them were NATO countries. There are 30 NATO countries.

You mean like there is no difference with replacing an un-elected leader and replacing a leader that has been elected democratically? Having said that I am in the camp that believes that the UK justified the second Iraq war with disinformation.

Maybe German gov is not as stupid as some suggest and have had a thought or two about national energy security before stopping Nord Stream 2.
We have reserves and time to fill them up again.
Don't worry about Germany. It's about Ukraine and freedom in general.
Aren't the reserves only 30% of what would be required to keep the country running?

Yes. Reminds me of when I was teaching and a lass in my History lesson said about the Iron Curtain that the USSR "had got their giant
testicles on eastern Europe."
Much hilarity ensued, girl much embarrassed.

What, they’re counting the Kurds? Haha

They have invaded a country with a force of 190,000 armed personnel and 900,000 reservists and they are well armed with modern systems like javelin.

Russia is taking big losses here make no mistake.
That can't right; that Russian spokeswoman was on the telly saying they had take control of the airport using 190 helicopters and killing hundreds of Ukrainian forces and not incurring any Russian casualties whatsoever.

That's what we need, good honest reporting we can rely on.

What a fucking total joke of a country Russia is, led by that fucking loonatic, honestly.

He missed out the fact that only one Russian soldier killed them all, with a butter knife at that.

Living proof that when you live in an echo chamber nothing sounds too fucking crazy

Putin arse must be twitching if he’s asking Ukraine army to overthrow their own leadership
Makes you wonder if perhaps the dozens of sycophants and yes-men he's surrounded himself with, have been allowing the deluded idiot to become convinced that all Ukrainians secretly want to be part of Russia again???

Now reporting Ukranian war crimes saying it’s a war crime to use kids and civilians as human shields and that firing rockets surrounding civilian buildings is a war crime.

Convenient given we know Russian bombshell have hit kindergartens, schools, civilian housing and all this time, it wasn’t them, it was the Ukranians doing it to themselves and committing war crimes in the act.

What’s that got to do with anything? Is the King of Saudi fair game to take out now? Is that how it works? I didn’t vote for the queen and she’s head of state, let’s have a democratically elected monarch :)

Utterly shameful. The Evil Empire back in full swing.
