Sweden hasn't been to war for 200 years but Finland kicked Russian ass in the second winter war (without the Nazis helping them).

I worked with a Finnish (speaking) Swede who's grandfather fought. The Finns used guerrilla tactics to good advantage. They used to work in small groups in the countryside and forests and ambush the Russians. They would shoot the third Russian infantry man in the line and then dissapear into the forest. It broke the Russian morale.

I’m sure you’ll know this, but Swedes are where the word “Rus”, for Russia and Belarus and the original Kievan Rus, comes from. The locals called the invading Swedish Vikings the “Rus” meaning “rowers”.
 
I see that Finland and Sweden where invited and present at the NATO meeting and rightly so. We should give them membership immediately given the threat to them both today from Putin.

Yeah but there were many more there last night, hopefully numbers will increase because it will need that whole square to become gridlocked, along with similar in every other city before that mad bastard starts to take notice, something like what happened in Cairo.

Sadly, the optimism about these protests growing is likely misplaced. Whatever we think of our own police I imagine we are about to see graphically demonstrated that we do in fact live in a liberal democracy with the right to protest.

You're right of course, just my romantic notion of him being overthrown by his own people, very unlikely scenario I know but we can dream. Been heartbreaking today listening to some of the ordinary Ukraines on 5live, men and women preparing to collect a gun and meet them head on, just awe inspiring and I wish I could help them.

Tbf though, posters said before that picture of the UAE Sheikh that anyone siding with Russia should be condemned and as good as Ostracised. The UAE are not closing any ties with Russia, During the Second day of the invasion they are there shaking hands with One of the biggest Cunts on the Planet in Labrov.
 
Fifa president refused to even say that he would give his medal back that Putin gave him after he bribed everyone to host the World Cup. We know which side his bread is buttered lol.

All Russian Clubs and the national teams from all sport should be excluded from international games immediately. That would be harder for Putin to explain than a few loaves of bread less on the shelves in 6mths time.
