Agreed. Putin will need a face saver. Perhaps recognition of the two separatist regions with security guarantees for the rest of Ukraine, ie NATO/EU membership?

Can‘t see Ukraine accepting anything less than NATO membership, as relying on Russia’s word means jackshit.

I posted something similar earlier. Although I don't think Zelensky is anywhere near that point yet. As things stand I think it's all or nothing for him.
