Russian invasion of Ukraine




Adidas the latest company to part ties with Russia, no longer the manufacturer for the Russian national team.

That Forbes article has pretty much all the major sanctions from companies so far.
 
Remarks about Russia and Putin from a USA Republican who isn't bat-shit crazy (I might even consider voting for him, save for the fact that I think a vote for any Republican is a defacto endorsement of Donald Trump):

I hear you. And I'd be very happy to have my instincts and reasoning be proved very wrong.

But I don't see how anyone can call this a true "gloves are off, no holds barred" attack. If it were, they'd be making Ukraine into rubble. Then they'd be making the rubble bounce.
This feels more like a show of superiority to force a quick surrender.
 
Think we're being far too technical in how to deal with the military convoy.
Much simpler solution,a couple of bags of marbles spread liberally across the road,cue Wacky Races style chaos.
Mobile phones at the ready filming unfolding carnage, footage sent to You've Been Framed under Carry On Kremlin,all monies sent to Ukrainian resistance,jobs a good un.

Russia can occupy Ukraine I’m not underestimating their capability. But they aren’t as good as Putin imagined they were.

It’s basically the same with the scum these days before a ball is kicked in anger … yeah we’re gonna win it this year. By Halloween the reality of them being actually more shite than before starts sinking in.

Same as ww2 if I remember correctly, the yanks couldn’t ship them over the border into Canada and we had to go get them from the states before flying them, something to do with not being directly involved I think or some such bollocks.
