I know right. We had some posters on here quoting that and trying to take the piss out of western intelligence services because of it. And now those people are posting videos of Russel fucking Brand. No shame.
 
Just watched the latest BBC Panorama programme on the invasion and do you know what? Every single expert they had on there said any talk of this invasion being to stop Ukraine joining NATO was “Russian disinformation” and that it was all to do with Russian Imperialism. They even backed it up with video clips of Putin decrying the fact that Russia is 40% smaller than it was at its height etc etc.

Who’d have thought it eh? Maybe Brand et al aren’t correct after all.

For that reason I have to say Ukraine should surrender before it’s too late. They’d be no winners otherwise. They’re not going to win the war anyway. Putin is too unstable and doesn’t give a shit about anything but his own ego. This has to end. Give up, let the sanctions bite, let the Russian people get him out and then start to negotiate with hopefully someone more reasonable.

Yep agreed, and not to mention the loss of natural resources, if he gets Ukraine, nice little bonus that.

Said it before, when I first saw that staged TV clip of him, topless on horseback, I knew the **** was a wrong un, an extinction level event wrong un.

I knew this time last week when I woke up that we had crossed the rubicon seeing the start of Putin’s unprovoked invasion.

In this century alone we have had the twin towers,Iraq, global financial crisis, Arab uprising, Brexit and the pandemic, but the impact of the decision made by one man to invade will have far greater repercussions than all of the those for future generations.

Straight global fight now between autocracy and democracy.

There may be no winners but that doesn't mean you back down and cave in to the one who started it. Cos guess what? They will just do it again and again. If you seriously think Putin will be a good boy and never start shit again if Ukraine handed over their country then I have a bridge to sell you.

I agree with all that. But they have put up a good fight. They’ve not backed down. He’s targeted a nuclear power plant. What’s he going to do next? There will be no country left soon. Or worse.

Standing up for democracy is the winner. Ukraine know they cannot match Russia military wise, but they can show the world that they are willing to die to save their country and their beliefs. That is much stronger than any weapon Russia possess
