United (H) - Post Match Thread

There approach first half was sticking pogba on Rodri and it somewhat nullified our patterns of play, however, and I think it’s discounted far to often, we are conditioned better than any team in Europe, we wear teams down…. I love Bernardo’s ability to go through the gears when he sniffs this, from 50 minutes on today he put on a masterclass and he was everywhere, there can’t be a fitter player in the league, it’s insane!
bernie imo ran the game , he was everywhere, kev got motm ,but for me bernie was head and shoulders today

Big respect for Sancho and his Denis Law backheel style non-celebration. But we don't quite view him as having Mike Doyle legend status after two years in our academy.

He's shit, a fraud and a bottle merchant who will never make it at any top team. He can't even get in front of Saka for England. He was massively overrated in Germany where he whacked a few goals against some farmers and both Ole and Rangnick have recognised how shit he is with the minutes that he gets.
Will be at Everton in a few years.

Good but tense first half, tense because we were the better team but only one goal ahead. Second half was just a masterclass, it was awesome, wonderful to watch us control the ball and work so hard to win it back. We really did give them a footballing lesson. The atmosphere was great, a long time since it has been so full at the end, everyone making a noise. Poznan even made it to the Colin Bell level three and it wasn't just me and my companions. It will be hard to sleep tonight!
Our pressing certainly ramped up a notch second half. They just couldn’t cope with it.

Just had a giggle at the CAF - the poor dears seem deflated… realty may be beckoning ? One lovely comment from South Africa about the stadium being empty today - he needs to adjust his aerial!

Splendid.

I particularly liked the way we let them think that they had almost matched us in the first half, and then moved smoothly into second gear in the second.

It really should have been 10, but the looks of abject humiliation on their faces at the end of the match was priceless.

Easily the worst rag team I've seen in a derby. Men against potatoes.

This City team is a team for the biggest games. It's less consistent than the Centurions, but it may have a higher ceiling in terms of top performances. Remember Chelsea in September, Liverpool in October (played them off the park in the first half), PSG in November. The best is yet to come, though.

The biggest strength of this team is that half of the first XI are playmakers: Cancelo, Rodri, KDB, Grealish, Foden, Mahrez, Gundogan... When most of them are on song, the team is unplayable.

Wow second half alone we could have had 5-6 goals de bruyne stand out first half second half all upped their game especially mahrez,i just wish that cancelo sublime effort had went in but to be fair it was a decent save,my only concern yes I know we won 4-1 and I’m complaining a bit was the number of chances we give up first half and although they had none second half they did threaten a few times but were cut out …roll on C.Palace next Monday which is another banana skin game, win that and we can start to see the finishing line with on paper slightly easier fixtures compared to the red scousers…
