Would be even better if the UK were able to chip in, also other European countries, show putin what he's messing with.

Their are neo-nazi in Ukrainian politics though and their army, that isn't a lie, if there wasn't this goimg on I doubt anyone would dismiss this fact, Ukraine is a very racist place with high levels of discriminations against immigrants, romani, aftrican and asian residents.

Their football clubs are constantly fined for racist behaviour which our players have encountered.

All I am saying is let's not pretend it wasn't a flawed nation in many ways because it is being invaded, jist like ours is or france is or america is and most certainly russia is.

We all support Ulraine in winning this war

None of this has happened though

Poland offered migs but are waiting on US aproval on it happening, that was the latest 5hrs ago.

That's the current status of US involvement. Working out an agreement with the Poles. Once ratified, this is the plan.

Unless Putin imagines there to be worse things than MAD, and decides to press the button.

Hope that you are right of course, but cannot help thinking that a wider war, a nuclear one, is a distinct possibility with this guy.

He won't. He wants the world to think he will.

Its no different to NATO informing Putin that we will respond to any act of aggression along those lines.

There aren’t significant neo Nazis though are there? As Domlino pointed out earlier they have lost in recent elections, there isn’t any in government and out of a population of 44 million, it’s really not a significant issue. Yes there is racism in the Ukraine and that’s sad to see but using that as a response to why Russia are doing this is insane and the far left need calling out for it.

The government talk a good war and photo opportunities but help will be really hard for any one fleeing the war
it’s pretty hopeless if they try to get to the UK, Poland take 1 million we have one thousand.

As I said before, I really hope that you are correct, but I cannot help thinking of David Hume’s famous declaration that, ‘It is not contrary to reason to prefer the destruction of the whole world to the scratching of my finger.’

Hume regarded reason as being entirely in thrall to the passions. In other words, we deploy it to find justifications for whatever we happen to be feeling. Who knows what kind of sentiments Putin is harbouring and what they might drive him to do?
