Russian invasion of Ukraine

This is essentially what Zelenskyy has been saying.

The less progress he makes, the worse things get back home, Putin is just going to make things worse. Mass incendiary bombing next, then chemical weapons, then a small nuke.

When will the West decide enough is enough? How many lives would be spared if we decided to act now instead of later?

There's no easy answer but the very least we can do is ramp up what we're giving them - those 70 migs need to go ASAP.

Hopefully the US can broker something with Poland on the planes. It’s strange the Russians haven’t got control of airspace yet - what are they afraid of? Maybe they can’t actually afford to lose many?

Then they aren't going to have a country to fight for at some point and sometimes coming to the table is better than being totally destroyed.

I've said it before and I will say it again 'the dead cannot fight'.

It’s only possible to come to the table when both sides have something to loose and a compromise is offered. When one side isn’t prepared to do that - currently Russia - what is there to talk about? Ukraine Surrender? Well they already tried that one when the first boot crossed into Ukraine and that was rejected and continues to be rejected every day by the courageous Ukrainian’s.

Visas should be waived for all Ukrainians. There won't be so many and we can sort out permanent decisions later.
All the government really need to do is take actual or copies of any paperwork the Ukraines have on them plus finger prints and when they are matched to a house, home or property, collate everything from there. It's not rocket science or difficult in this day and age, it was done in WW2.

As are those that are "only following orders".

As hard as it is to be reasonable and clearly it’s easier from the comforts of our homes that aren’t being shelled - antidotal evidence from various captured Russians is they didn’t understand the reality of the situation to their orders.

As unpalatable as it sounds when emotions are high and people continue to die, at some point we do need to separate the guilty from those that aren’t - and some of those guilty will say “I was only following orders”. We need to hang those responsible, but sadly I fear they will not only escape a hanging but escape justice all together. In any case we are a long way off from this conversation- Ukraine needs to be saved first.

Unless you are calling for illegal extrajudicial murder there is no scope for the Ukrainians to carry out capital punishment.

If they change the law and give it retrospective effect they will break basic legal standards of the council of Europe and the EU.

The International Criminal Court has no competency to hand out capital punishment.

It is a problem to be tackled by those with competency when it arises, but POW camps and prisons can be setup. Captured war criminals can go to the Hague.

There is no need for hangings.

Diplomacy is dead with this **** Putin.

Only way this stops is he gets popped from within, he drops dead of natural causes, his own people other throw him but he would shell them he is that fucking mad or we as in NATO go to war with the ****.

The more I see. The more I think this is almost the time to go. Put it this way. They have either been playing the greatest version of the rope a dope. Or. Just may be. We have believed for years that the Russian military are something to fear. Ukraine is causing them all this trouble. Why ? The field Marshall from the ministry of defence seems very confident we would deal with any situation in a military perspective. The way everyone has gone out on a limb, uskng words like "he must fail" Biden declaring Americans to "go get him" is odd also. That isnt de escelation. That's getting all the ducks in a nice row. Military from all over the world are rocking up in eastern Europe daily, and that's only what they tell us about. How many ships, subs, aircraft will be operating within strike range right now.

The western powers do no fear the Russian army. They fear all out nuclear war. I personally feel they know exactly how to deal with Russia. He just has to do something that makes the public back what is inevitable in my eyes. NATO and the Russia will go at it on some level. Just give it a few weeks the money to Run out. For the army to take heavy losses and figure out how they operate on a battle field. This is the best Intel we have ever had on Russia. It's clearly filled our leaders with the understanding thst Russia couldnt deal with a unified army. Certainly not a well trained, well armed and motivated army. One that can get fuel. One that can drive across the country without breaking. He cant be allowed to either occupy or back out and keep power in Russia. Either is an accident waiting to happen. NATO wont allow that to happen either. The comin weeks are going to be very scary.
