It changes every day for me.

I had read where many people choose one word they build from.

Is there a strategy to changing it every day, or just a roll of the dice?

Fwiw, I use ADIEU, as it covers 4 vowels and helps get me started.

Similar first word (adieu), but I haven’t chosen a second word! I just work from there!

I always pick a different word with a couple of vowels in it, and say to myself as I tap ENTER, "I've got yer, yer bastards!" not worked yet. But, i've just had a thought - I might enter ENTER!

I've stopped playing it now after NYT got hold of it having had a 100% success rate on previous 30 odd games.

My start word was always TRAIN - as I said I never didn't get the word.
