Has entered a dangerous territory today, needlessly so. For the interests of everyone, the club should have allowed to have been sold. Their fans don’t deserve to not be able to attend games, buy merch and whatnot.

Allow it to be sold. The fans get their club, Ukraine and it’s desperate charities much needed money and the government can focus on red roms other assets. Football should have been left well out of this.

When I see wankers like that giving it large right; n our own backyard and showing utter disrespect part of me harks back to the hooligan days. There is no shouldn’t. He should either be sanctioned or he shouldn’t if he is that everything includes chelsea. You cant sanction him and say except you can sell one asset if you promise not to keep any of the £3 billion. Leaving the club out it would be ridiculous.

It's a business and businesses with links to Putin are being sanctioned. Put aside the misty eyed "football is different" nonsense. You can't have strong sanctions if you make allowances because it's a sport. Chelsea will be fine in a few years. Their fans need to realise this and take a hit for the greater good.

They can’t just pick and choose which assets to freeze based on peoples hobbies.. If he’s aiding the invasion of Ukraine, then sadly, Chelsea are collateral damage of this awful war. But I doubt the people of the Ukraine will be that arsed about the hobby of some Londoners.,

There is some precedent to the UK government seeing City through the lense of diplomatic relations with the UAE. I believe that was brought up during the Super League fiasco.

So if the UAE became persona (country?) non grata with the UK government we could indeed have exposure to this sort of risk.

Doesn't seem like either party would be interested in such a bad state of relations. But, who is to know what will transpire going forward? UAE and Saudi are not taking overt sides in the US-led economic war on Russia. US has already threatened India with "sanctions" for not being sufficiently anti-Russia.

This is a troubling precedent. City and Newcastle could very easily end up targeted if the war/financial conflict persists. The usual suspects in the PL and media and whatnot are probably already trying to figure out a way to spin this in that direction.

In the short term there’s a possibility some unfortunate people are going to lose their jobs at Chelsea due to matters completely out of their control, this obviously pales into insignificance to what Is going on in Ukraine but collateral damage all the same and all of this due to one persons war mongering I hope the fucker visits every circle of Dante’s inferno multiple times.
