Manchester United are to write to The Premier League in a dramatic last gasp bid to save their season.

Under the proposal, United will ask for more favourable refereeing decisions in league games between now and the end of the season, including an increase in the number of penalties given for midfield apparition Bruno Fernandes' belly flops, as the red devils seek to preserve some kind of pride at Old Trafford by retaining Champions League football next year.

The coverted 4th place position brings with it entry into UEFA's prime competition, and The Premier League are thought to be keen on the idea, with former Premier League Chief Executive Richard Scudamore previously being quoted as saying "When your most popular club isn't doing as well, that costs you interest and audience in some places." The prospect of that interest, and profit, waning yet again as United continue to turn our turgid performances weekly, means The Premier League must act now to save their Christmas party champagne and truffles.

UEFA are likely to agree that the trough must not run dry, and add pressure on England's footballing heirachy to agree, showing previous commitment to ensuring clubs such as United, Barcelona and Bayern Munich, with whom their competition has special a historical relationship as well as frequently sharing board members who have dual roles, but definitely no conflicts of interest, are well looked after. In recent years rules on competition earnings were changed so that such historically valued clubs always get a slice of the pie, based on their previous decades performances, even if they fail to qualify for the competitions ever again.

The latest Chief Executive, whom both United and fellow self-important moaners Liverpool, were given special access to vet before being appointed to the role, is said to be favourable to such an agreement, meaning the rest of the season may not in fact be a write off for United's worldwide army of fans. Bright times ahead for the red half or Manchester?

They of been pushing for points deduction for Chelsea since Abramovich been sanctioned you can bet that’s the type of club they are.

I just hope the rumours I'm hearing from my source this morning, that Arsenal are also very supportive to relinquish 4th and are even prepared to supply the headed paper for united to write on, as well as capitulate against Liverpool tonight, are wrong

Just seen a clip from the BT after match stuff with Carragher saying 'what people have got to remember, this is Manchester United' and the whole panel pissed themselves for a couple of seconds. They've obviously been having a laugh about all that shit that Neville. Scholes and Ferdinand have been saying.

Wife works near the Ivy in town, dropped her off this morning.

Are you implying the red mardarses have took being knocked out of Europe a tad bitterly?

Oh the itony this come from the Rag manager:

"It was hard in the second half and always interrupted. There was always somebody lying on the floor. I would also say some curious refereeing decisions. I wouldn't say they were decisive but at least he fell too often for those time-wasting antics and four minutes at the end added on was a joke for me.

I wouldn`t accuse Fernandes of going down easily or frequently but when he finishes trying to play football he could always try his hand at carpet fitting.

They need them, to be fair. It's hard to get 50,000 Londoners and Norwegians to the stadium every match. I'm only surprised it doesn't have its own airfield.
Tfl are planning an extension to the Underground now the Elizabeth line is finished.

The Rag Line, London to to Warwick Road.

Accusing the ref of match fixing. Fucking hell :)

(It’s even funnier on 1.5x speed)

Daft fucker is from Cambridge..I doubt she's ever been to Unsold Trafford.
Best part of that was the " I'm speechless" bit..fuck me if that's being speechless I pity any fucker who gets in a long term relationship with her.
Beats me how any rag twat can moan about dodgy refs with all the decisions they get year after year.
