Formula 1 2022

Don't mind Ferrari, 2 likable drivers and a director seems a good bloke.

Fuck Max the cheat.

I don't think you understand the importance of that test. That illegal tyre test arguably helped Mercedes in their long run of dominance in the modern turbo era. They had a unique opportunity to obtain knowledge about the 2014 Pirellis that other teams didn't get.

Re the 2021 season. Verstappen would've easily won it, if Bottas hadn't taken him out in Hungary or if Hamilton didn't nt take him out at Silverstone.

Mercedes getting unlucky in the last race was karma for those incidents. And in the balance I firmly believe that Verstappen was the rightful winner of the 2021 season.
ha, fuck off. Max took himself out in Silverstone, took Lewis out in Monza and should have been DQ'd from the championship for nearly killing Lewis, got a fluke podium in Russia, cheated in Brazil and again didn't get punished, cheated in Saudi and didn't get properly punished and won a BS race for half points in Belgium where he didn't actually race, and got a pole position in Monaco he didn't earn.

Lewis was also beating him fair and square in the last race and got cheated out of it. Simple as. That is the truth of it.

Move on...

He won the championship fair and square.

Look at the front of his car. What number does it have? Yes it's a 1.

1 meaning he won the championship last season.

Wasn't fair though was it? Rules were bent to facilitate his win in Abu Dhabi.

If it was "fair", then why was Masi sacked?

People call Hamilton "Lulu" but Horner is the biggest "Karen" on earth.

Can someone please give me a quick idiot guide to whats new this year?
Lots!
Free tyre choice to start the race to start with. That means the faster teams qualifying in Q2 on a longer-lasting tyre can be matched by others.
Much bigger tyres (18 inch compared to 13 inch) which will reduce overheating so hard racing can last longer (hopefully) - but also a lower pressure is likely (lower temperature blankets, smaller sidewall) so outlaps may be a bit different.
Aero changes - grooved floor to make cars hug the ground (or if they're a Mercedes, make it bounce merrily on straights), fins over the front tyres, wing changes

The claim is that 'dirty air' downforce loss drops from 35% at 3 car lengths to 4%, and 50% at 1 car length to 18%.

Hamilton fan bois must be weeping into their hankies after his and Russell’s pitiful qualifying.
in a car that's a second a lap slower and he's still only half a second off the champion* who contrived not to take pole in a car that's 3/4 tenths quicker than its competition. Easiest, most guaranteed pole he'd ever have and he bottled it.

Will be worse when Bottas takes him out on the first lap... :P

Will be very interesting to see how they fair. Hamilton is a brilliant driver in the races so you know he'll maximise whatever they've got. Hard to imagine them being too far off the pace after all these years but all era's come to an end eventually.

I'm hoping to see Russell keeping closer to Lewis in the races than Bottas did but that's not a particularly easy task for a newbie to the team.

Bottas ready for battle.

The Leclerc/Sainz dynamic could be really spicy if Ferrari stays competitive all season. Leclerc is better but Sainz is much closer to him than Bottas was to Hamilton or Perez to Verstappen.
